University of Sargodha has taken a landmark and visionary step by establishing the first-ever University of Sargodha Alumni Association, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the university’s engagement with its graduates. The formal Oath-Taking Ceremony of the newly elected body of the Alumni Association was held at the Committee Room, MPH, University of Sargodha.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers of the Association, including the President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Information Secretary, and members of the Executive Body. The ceremony was chaired by the Vice Chancellor and attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Director Alumni Office Prof. Dr. Ahmad Raza Bilal, senior administrative officers, and members of the alumni community.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the vital role of alumni as ambassadors of the university and key partners in its academic, professional, and institutional development. He highlighted that the Alumni Association will serve as a dynamic platform to strengthen lifelong connections between graduates and their alma mater, promote collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge exchange, and contribute to the university’s future growth and global outreach.
The establishment of the University of Sargodha Alumni Association reflects the university’s commitment to building a strong, engaged, and supportive alumni network that will play a transformative role in advancing institutional excellence and fostering a vibrant community of scholars and professionals connected to the University of Sargodha.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas visited the newly built Dean Secretariat at the University of Sargodha to review the facility and its arrangements. He was accompanied by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, along with deans of various faculties and senior university officials.
During the visit, the Vice Chancellor inspected different sections of the secretariat and appreciated the efforts made to improve administrative facilities. He emphasized that modern and well-organized administrative infrastructure plays an important role in strengthening academic coordination and institutional efficiency.

The 52nd (1/2026) meeting of the Advance Studies and Research Board (ASRB) of the University of Sargodha organized by the Office of the Registrar was held at the Committee Room, MPH.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas and attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, deans, directors, and other members of the board. The participants reviewed various academic and research matters, including approval of research proposals and academic regulations, aimed at strengthening the university’s research culture and academic standards

The University of Sargodha (UoS) and Government College University Lahore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration. The agreement was signed by Vice Chancellor UoS Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas and Vice Chancellor Government College University Lahore Prof. Dr. Muhammad Omer Chaudhary.
The MoU includes the exchange of faculty and students, shared use of research laboratories, joint supervision of students, and organization of training programs, seminars, and conferences. Both universities also agreed to collaborate through their ORICs and QECs to strengthen research commercialization, academic quality assurance, and institutional development. During the meeting, both vice chancellors also discussed matters of mutual interest and explored opportunities to enhance academic cooperation between the two institutions.

Vice Chancellor University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, met with Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC), Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan to discuss matters related to higher education development and institutional collaboration. Additional Registrar UoS, Mr. Waqar Ahmed accompanied the Vice Chancellor in the meeting.
The discussion focused on strengthening administrative and financial governance within the higher education sector.
During the visit, the Vice Chancellor also attended a search committee meeting convened for the appointment of the Treasurer.

The Office of the Controller of Examinations, University of Sargodha organized a certificate distribution ceremony at the MFKNBS Hall to acknowledge the successful conduct of the 12th Convocation 2026.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan attended the ceremony along with Controller of Examinations Dr. Rehana Ilyas, deans, directors, and members of various committees who played a key role in organizing the mega event. On the occasion, appreciation certificates were presented to committee members in recognition of their dedication and teamwork. The Vice Chancellor commended the collective efforts that ensured the convocation was conducted in a well-organized and dignified manner.

Under the initiative “Empowering Women Through Digital Entrepreneurship,” the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) at the University of Sargodha, in collaboration with the Rural Economic Transformation Lab and the Sargodha Women Chamber of Commerce, conducted a one-day training session on “International E-Commerce through Instagram.”
The session was led by Osama Shafi and Muhammad Fazeel, who provided practical guidance on leveraging Instagram for global business growth. The training focused on equipping women entrepreneurs with digital marketing strategies, international customer engagement techniques, and tools to expand their businesses beyond local markets. Participants appreciated the initiative, terming it a valuable step toward strengthening women-led enterprises through digital platforms.
