GCWUF Advances Institutional Innovation Through Module VII of the Mentoring Program for Universities (MPU–NAHE Phase II)

Faisalbad :August 24, 2026 The Faculty & Staff Development Center (F&SDC), GCWUF successfully conducted Module VII: Institutional Innovation and Custom Module under MPU–NAHE Phase II at the Video Conference Room.

The session featured valuable insights from Prof. Dr. Aysha Sameen, Dr. Sadia Asim, and Dr. Abida Kousar on institutional innovation, strategic planning, research development, academic leadership, entrepreneurship, and research and innovation ecosystems.

The interactive session provided participants with practical strategies for innovation, collaboration, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous improvement, reaffirming GCWUF’s commitment to research excellence and institutional development.

The YPDC – GCWUF Chapter proudly represented Government College Women University Faisalabad at the URAAN YPDC Skills Fellowship 2026, held in Islamabad from 7th–14th August 2026.

Representing GCWUF were Ms. Maleeka Siddiqa, President YPDC & PMYDC, and Ms. Kashaf Javeed, General Secretary YPDC, who joined 300+ young leaders from 159 universities across Pakistan.

YPDC GCWUF Visit to PIDE Strengthens Connections for Youth Development

The Young Peace Development Corps (YPDC), GCWUF Chapter, conducted an official visit to the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad, where Maleeka Siddiqa, President YPDC GCWUF, Department of Chemistry, and Kashaf Javeed, General Secretary YPDC GCWUF, Department of International Relations, represented GCWUF.

During the visit, the delegation held a discussion with PIDE officials on youth engagement, research, governance, development, and opportunities for collaboration in support of youth development and national progress. The PIDE team also presented official PIDE publications to the YPDC representatives as a gesture of appreciation.

The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen institutional connections and explore avenues for meaningful engagement and youth development at the national level. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡°

Mehfil-e-Milad Mustafa ο·Ί Held at GCWUF

Faisalabad, August 25, 2026: Under the patronage of the VC Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Government College Women University Faisalabad in collaboration with the Punjab Council of the Arts organised a spiritually uplifting Naatia Mushaaira and Mehfil-e-Milad Mustafa ο·Ί.
MPA Qudsia Batool, the special guest, appreciated the celebration and the Government of Punjab’s initiatives to promote the spirit of Milad-e-Mustafa ο·Ί. She also presented a beautiful Naat written by her father, Hafiz Muhammad Hussain.
A soulful Naatia Mushaira featuring renowned poets added to the spiritual atmosphere. GCWUF alumni, faculty, students and distinguished guests attended the Mehfil, along with Director Faisalabad Arts Council Imran Raza.
The DSA Office, under the supervision of Dr. Asma Aziz, facilitated the event arrangements. The Department of Islamic Studies, Department of Arabic, Character Building Society, and Alumni Association, GCWUF were appreciated for their valuable collaboration and support in organizing the event.

The Mehfil concluded with special prayers for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan and the unity and well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
