National Symposium on Mountain Biodiversity & Climate Change โ Chitral 2026
The National Symposium on โMountain Biodiversity & Climate Change: Risks, Adaptation, and Opportunities in Chitral Regionโ will be held on 18th May 2026 in Chitral, Pakistan.
The symposium is being organized by the Animal Genomics & Biodiversity Research Group, Department of Biological Sciences, Virtual University of Pakistan and University of Chitral in collaboration with:

โช Yak and Camel Foundation, Germany
This scientific gathering aims to bring together researchers, academicians, students, conservationists, policymakers, and development professionals to discuss the emerging impacts of climate change on mountain ecosystems and to explore sustainable strategies for biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and community adaptation in the Chitral region.
With its unique ecological landscape and rich biodiversity, Chitral offers an ideal platform for meaningful scientific dialogue on conservation and sustainable development in northern Pakistan.
