Sukkur IBA University concluded its week-long commemorative activities of Marka-e-Haq: Inspiring the Nation with a spirited Campus Rally held on May 10, 2026, to celebrate Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq and promote the values of unity, patriotism, and national solidarity. The rally brought together faculty members, administrative staff, and students in a collective expression of commitment to courage, sacrifice, resilience, and national service.
Vice Chancellor Sukkur IBA University, Prof. Dr. Asif Ahmed Shaikh, appreciated the active participation of students, faculty, and staff throughout the commemorative week and paid rich tribute to the bravery, sacrifices, and unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, peace, and stability. He emphasized the importance of patriotism, discipline, and social responsibility among youth and stated that the Marka-e-Haq activities provided students with a meaningful platform to reflect on the values of unity, resilience, sacrifice, and national harmony.
Prof. Dr. Mir Muhammad Shah, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Main Campus), also paid tribute to the Pakistani Armed Forces for their dedication and sacrifices in protecting the sovereignty and integrity of the country. He stated that Marka-e-Haq stands as a symbol of national unity and resilience, inspiring the younger generation to remain steadfast in their love and support for the nation and its armed forces.
The event commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony at the Central Cafeteria attended by university leadership, Registrar, Deans, Heads of Departments, Directors, faculty members, staff, and students, creating a strong patriotic atmosphere across the campus. The ceremony was followed by cake cutting and a campus rally from the Cafeteria to Zero Point, where participants carried national flags and raised patriotic slogans to express unity, pride, and commitment to national values.
The commemorative week concluded with enthusiastic participation and a renewed commitment from the university community to uphold the principles of integrity, harmony, and national service. The activities also included a solemn visit to the grave of Prof. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, Founding Vice Chancellor Sukkur IBA University, to pay homage and reaffirm his legacy of academic excellence and institutional development.
