World Teachers' Day Celebration at Government Islamia Science College, Sukkur

‎Government Islamia Science College, Sukkur, observed World Teachers' Day on October 5 with a ceremonial event organized under the leadership of the Principal, Professor Shahid Ahmed Khan. The celebration was held to express deep appreciation for the teaching fraternity, paying special tribute to senior retired faculty members who dedicated years to academic excellence.

‎The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students. As senior teachers and guests walked down the main aisle, students paid homage by showering rose petals over them, creating a warm and reverent atmosphere. This gesture highlighted the deep respect and affection the student body holds for their educators.

‎Among the distinguished guests were esteemed retired professors, including Professor Syed Mazhar Ali Shah (Ex- Principal, Govt Islamia Science College Sukkur) Professor Imam Bakhsh Jamro and Professor Mohammad Hayat Bhatti.

‎Principal Professor Shahid Ahmed Khan addressed the gathering, emphasizing the pivotal role of teachers in shaping individual character and society as a whole. He expressed gratitude to the guest professors for attending and honored their lasting contributions to education.

‎Honorable retired professors addressed the assembly. They commended the students for their discipline and respect while highlighting the importance of the noble teaching profession.

‎The Teachers' Day program concluded on an inspiring note, strengthening the bond between teachers, retired faculty, and students, while reinforcing the values of respect and dedication in academic life. In the end, Principal Professor Shahid Ahmed Khan thanked all the faculty members for their services and especially Prof. Syed Ali Gul Shah Jilani and Prof. Qurban Mahar for holding such a commendable reception and program for teachers.

Youth Election Awareness Campaign Held at Government Islamia Science College Sukkur

Date: 29 September 2026

An Election Awareness Campaign was conducted at Government Islamia Science College Sukkur with the objective of creating awareness among the youth about the importance of voting and the proper procedure for casting a vote.

As part of the campaign, an electoral process was organized for the election of the Prefects. Students of Class XII actively participated in the election process and were guided about democratic practices, responsible citizenship and the importance of exercising their right to vote.

Prof. Abdul Fatah Baloch served as the Coordinator of the Election Campaign and supervised the electoral activities.

On the occasion, Prof. Shahid Ahmed Khan Principal, Government Islamia Science College Sukkur, formally handed over the sash to the newly elected Prefects marking the successful completion of the electoral process.

The activity provided students with practical exposure to democratic procedures and helped promote a sense of responsibility, leadership and civic awareness among the young generation.

A District-Level Poster Painting Competition was held today at Government College Education, Sukkur in which colleges from across Sukkur District participated.

A team from Government Islamia Science College Sukkur led by Ms. Tahmina Soomro participated in the competition. We are pleased to announce that our talented student secured 3rd Position among the colleges of Sukkur District.

This achievement reflects the talent, creativity and dedication of our students and faculty members. Special appreciation goes to our worthy Principal Prof. Shahid Ahmed Khan, for providing a supportive academic environment and encouraging students to showcase their abilities at various platforms.
