𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐫 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐀𝐍 𝐘𝐏𝐃𝐂 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝
Two students, Mr. Uzair Ahmed (Department of Pakistan Studies) and Ms. Rukhsana (Department of Architecture), represented Aror University at Uraan YPDC 2026—a seven-day national fellowship held from 12th to 18th August, 2026 organised by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives in Islamabad. Under the guidance of the Federal Minister for Planning, Professor Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, more than 300 students from over 160 universities across Pakistan participated in this prestigious event. During the fellowship, students gained leadership skills, policymaking experience, community engagement abilities and other vital skills to contribute positively to Pakistan’s future.

Mr. Aamir Ali Khan Ghouri, CEO of Icon by Ghouris, generously donated a valuable collection of books to the Central Library of Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur.

The collection was received by Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor, and Mr. Gul Hassan Lakho, Librarian. It includes valuable CSS preparation books, as well as books in English, Urdu, and Sindhi, providing diverse and useful resources for students and researchers.

ORIC successfully organized an insightful research session featuring Dr. Muhammad Waris from the Department of Environmental Sciences, highlighting his international book chapters on microplastics, heavy metals, ecological principles, and soil toxicology.

The session fostered meaningful research discussions, knowledge sharing, and academic exchange among faculty and students. 📚🔬🌱

Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur, successfully held the 9th meeting of its Syndicate today at 09:30 AM in the Executive Conference Hall.
The meeting was presided over by the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand. The Hon’ble Chair extended a warm welcome to the distinguished members, expressing his deepest gratitude for their persistent support across all avenues of the University’s growth. Following the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and his opening remarks, the Vice Chancellor briefed the learned members on the agenda items of the meeting.
The deliberations of the meeting included confirmation of the minutes of the 8th Meeting of the Syndicate, and review of the report on actions taken after the previous meeting. Furthermore, the Syndicate considered and approved the recommendations of the 9th meeting of the Selection Board, held on August 15, 2026. The floor was also opened for the discussion of supplementary administrative matters with the permission of the Worthy Chair.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Secretary Universities & Boards Department; Engr. Syed Abdul Qadir Shah, Former Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council Karachi; Mr. Ghulam Nabi, Director General (Finance) HEC, Islamabad; Mr. Sohail Akbar Shah, Nominee Sindh HEC and Retired Civil Servant; Mr. Ihsanuallah Laghari, Additional Director College Education Department; Mr. Adnan A. Kehar, Certified Public Accountant; Mr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro, Former Civil Servant; Ms. Zaib Un Nisa Mangi, Former Director School Education; and Hafiz Rafique Ahmed Soomro, Aalim and Islamic Scholar.
From Aror University Sukkur included Prof. Dr. Zamir Ahmed Abro, Dean Faculty of Design; Dr. Nadia Samo, Controller of Examination; Dr. Altaf Alam, Associate Professor; Dr. Muhammad Qasim Sodhar, Assistant Professor; Dr. Rashid Ali, Lecturer; Mr. Abdul Haleem Soomro, Director Finance; Mr. Shoukat Ali Abbasi, Director HR; Mr. Babar Ali, Director QEC; and Dr. Bakhtiar Ahmed Kubar, the Registrar.
The deliberations of the 9th Syndicate meeting underscore Aror University Sukkur's unwavering commitment to academic excellence, transparent governance, and the continuous enhancement of its institutional framework.

Aror University of Art, Architecture, Design & Heritage, Sukkur proudly hosted a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for students of the Faculty of Emerging Science and Technology, celebrating the successful completion of their internships at Microvision, Inc.

Mr. Faisal Khawaja, CEO of Microvision, Inc., presented the certificates and appreciated the students’ hard work, talent, and dedication. He also reviewed their work and, recognizing their performance, selected several interns to continue collaborating on future industry projects.

The CEO also appreciated the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, Vice Chancellor and acknowledged his dedication and continuous efforts toward creating meaningful industry opportunities and empowering students with practical, career-focused exposure.
