We have very strict policies on moderation and banning users. Violation of our guidelines will get you banned from our page, so please take note of the following before commenting:
1) Be respectful to all those who comment no matter what. If you become very aggressive towards another user, you may receive one warning or be immediately banned.
2) If you have a problem with any image or text we p
ost. DO NOT report it through facebook. Message us first with a genuine (not automated) concern and we'll discuss why the image or text is offensive. But ultimately 99.9% of our images and text are not offensive to 99.9% of our audience, so you are better off removing the image from your news feed and or unliking our page if you would like our images or text removed from your feed.
3) Don't type your entire comment in caps. First it's not great etiquette and second, facebook hides the comment by default and we are required to unhide it for it to be seen.
4) Make sure your comment is relevant to the post. If you start having an entire debate about something unrelated to the post, or if your comments are excessive you will be asked to message each other to continue the debate privately. Refusal to comply will get you banned.
5) We will hide any links posted by users who do not indicate briefly where that link is going and how it is relevant to the post. If you begin spamming multiple posts to promote a website or page, or even a specific repetitive comment, you will be banned. Please contact us first if you wish to promote anything on this page as randomly posting any link unrelated to the post is frowned upon.
6) Aggressive comments directed towards us, insulting the page, unnecessarily criticizing its posts and content (especially in the comment forum without contacting us first), or bashing the reputability or credibility of our authors will immediately get you banned without warning. If you have an issue with grammar or spelling and insult this page on a comment without messaging and informing us of the error first, you will be instantly banned. If you have a serious complaint or issue, message us directly. Name calling and ad hominem attacks will not be tolerated. PLEASE DO NOT post any hostile comments directed towards PD (or anyone else) in the comment section. We cannot emphasize this enough and we have very good reasons for this.
7) Asking us to post relevant content according to our website name or FB name will not change our methods of posting. We don't post according to a few isolated expectations of some readers, so don't ask us why we are posting something that does not appear relevant to our website name or theme. Chances are, if you're asking this question, you haven't taken a good look at our website or post history and are simply judging from your own perspective based on your own expectations. In this case we encourage you to unlike our page and pursue others which better align with your sensibilities.
8) Stating that an article or post is stupid, fake or BS, without reading the article/post or providing reasonable evidence to support your assertion will get you banned from this page without warning. Stating "it must be true because it's on the internet" or similar phrasing and intention without any logical argument supporting your position against the post will instantly get you banned.
9) Supporting or encouraging comments of friends or anybody that proceeds with profanity, vulgar language or disrespect to any facebook user or the administrators of this page will get you banned without warning, even if you did not initiate the original hostile comments yourself.
10) We generally allow an open discussion from many angles, however this is a site primarily dedicated to the prevention of disease through holistic medicine, not allopathic or mainstream medicine. Consequently, if your comments are centered around the claimed benefits of allopathic or mainstream medicine, or your negative perception of holistic medicine, an Administrator will request and encourage you to seek pages that better align with your beliefs. If you present an opinion in an antagonistic tone, insulting the page or content, you will likely be banned from this page. The majority of our audience generally does not seek information on anything but holistic medicine, holistic nutrition and natural methods of healing and living, so any comments that insist on conventional methods are typically misplaced and efforts or persistence by any user commenting along these lines is not conducive to the mission of this page or the desires of our audience. If you insist on dismissing scientific publications that do not align with your version of acceptable evidence, please just agree to disagree rather than resorting to attacking those commenting or the authors/studies being discussed. It will be up to the discretion of the Administrator in this case to warn or immediately ban a user (without notice) who refuses to comply with this specific guideline.
11) A favorite tactic of trolls and opposition specialists to our site (and message) is to comment both favorably and unfavorably on several posts and then announce at some point (especially on controversial posts) that they are unliking our page in various comments in an attempt to sway opinion (yet they never unlike the page but just keep making the announcement of the intention). For this reason we will instantly ban anybody who announces they want to unlike our page, or are thinking of unliking our page NO EXCEPTIONS, and you will not be unbanned for any reason. If you are thinking of unliking our page, please proceed without announcing it on any post. To those who are resorting to these tactics, we will find out who you are very quickly through moderation.
12) Solicitation of any kind of business or attempting to recruit our audience in commentary, regardless of whether it is a get rich quick, work from home, unrelated or related to the post subject matter will get you instantly banned from this page. Please do not solicit anybody under any circumstance in post commentary. Message them directly...this is not an employment or recruitment forum.
13) A common tactic of disinformation analysts and paid trolls is to request degrees, credentials, or authority certifications from the administrator or moderators of this page for no other reason but to avoid discussing the issues, or categorically deny valid sources as being credible. These requests usually come from people who will not make any attempts to refute the information from the article being posted. It a very common tactic used by antagonists who will oppose any content against vaccination regardless of its reputability. More often than not, the administrators and moderators of this page are not the authors of articles being posted here. The credentials of our authors are usually listed at the bottom of each article, and if they are not, please email us for the information if that is relevant to you. But due to this common tactic being used by those wanting to emotionalize, antagonize, and goad advocates of the topic being discussed, PLEASE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT resort to requesting this information on a comment. You will be instantly banned, no exceptions. Email us for the information.
14) If one of your comments was deleted, there is a good reason for it, and in most cases the reason had something to do with violating one or more of the above guidelines. Please don't post your comment again (or its theme) or you will be automatically banned. Bottom line is be kind to everybody. You can be opposed to one of our posts and still eloquently choose to agree to disagree or ignore the post entirely. Take what resonates and leave the rest behind.
