The University of Wah Science Society (UWSS), in collaboration with the Department of Biosciences, successfully organized a seminar on "Climate Change Impact on Crop Productivity" under SDG 13: Climate Action on 13th August, 2026, at the Conference Room, Academic Block-H, University of Wah.

The seminar featured Prof. Dr. Syeda Asma Bano, Chairperson and Professor, Department of Microbiology, University of Haripur, as the guest speaker. She delivered an insightful presentation on the effects of climate change on crop productivity, highlighting the challenges posed to agriculture and emphasizing the importance of sustainable farming practices, scientific innovation, and research to ensure food security and environmental sustainability.

The session was highly engaging and interactive, with active participation from students and faculty members. The discussion provided attendees with valuable knowledge and encouraged thoughtful dialogue on one of the most pressing global challenges of our time.

The event concluded with a group photograph, commemorating the successful completion of an informative and impactful seminar. The UWSS family extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Yasir Iqbal, PhD Scholar in the Department of Mathematics, on the successful defense of his PhD thesis.

The research work was completed under the supervision of *Prof. Dr. Qazi Mahmood Ul Hassan*

The defense was attended by Dr. Tasawar Abbas, Chairman, Department of Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Javid Shabir, Dr Bilal Ahmad, Dr. Imran Raees, COE, along with faculty members, research scholars.

The external examiners, Prof. Dr. Akbar Azam and Prof. Dr. Nasir Siddiqui, appreciated the quality and significant contribution of the research work.

The UW congratulates Dr. Yasir Iqbal on this remarkable academic achievement. Congratulations are also extended to his parents, family members, and friends for their continuous support and encouragement.
