University of Wah

University of Wah The University is offering undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate Programs. The University of Wah was established in 2005.

Four years later, in July 2009, the Punjab Provincial Assembly passed the University of Wah Act, 2009. The University is offering 4-Year Bachelors and 2-Year Masters Programs in Basic, Social, Computer, Management and Engineering Sciences. The University has two constituent colleges, Mashal and Wah Engineering College. The Wah Engineering College is offering BSc Engineering Programs in the fields

of Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Mechatronics, side by side, the college has also been offering MS and PhD Degree Programs in the field of Electrical and Mechanical whereas, Mashal Degree College is offering BS (4-Year) Programs in selective areas (only for girls). The University Campus is located in the beautiful and pollution free environment of the Wah Cantonment. The city of Wah is situated in the North-West of Islamabad โ€œThe Capital of Pakistanโ€. Wah has a historical background and was always a favorite place of Mughal Rulers. They built several gardens, such as, the most famous Wah Garden. Taxila city is adjacent to city of Wah which is rich in ancient, mainly Buddhist archeological sites and Sikh sacred places. The city of Wah has around 98% literacy rate and is known as โ€œModel Cityโ€ for education. Since its establishment, the University registered progress unmatched by any other University in the country at the similar early phase, and it is now in the process of producing a community of scholars committed to making in roads into yet unchartered areas of knowledge both in the emerging and traditional disciplines for which numerous facilities of advanced levels are being provided at the campus. It is unprecedented that University has offered and maintained Under-graduate and Post-graduate Programs in Basic, Social, Computer, Management and Engineering Sciences, since its establishment. To facilitate the successful conduct of these Programs, considerable spadework has been done, including the establishment of laboratories for practical classes. The University, in spite of numerous constraints and limitations, has been able to engage highly qualified and experienced faculty. The University has adopted 4-Year (Honors) Degree Courses approved by the Higher Education Commission. The University Campus is located on the 'Quaid Avenue', Wah Cantt.
