P3 Workshops

The P3 Workshops are created because of the need to draw wider attention to the fact that parametric design is becoming an increasingly common tool used in architectural offices around the world. During workshops we would like to offer students as much new practice as possible, learning both through theoretical and practical methods. Our P3 project will try to define the relationship between the

purpose, the process and the broad concept of the product. The main point of the project is to learn about new designing methods and use them for creating a full-scale wooden pavilion which can have an interesting influence on the campus life. The P3 Project was accepted into program of the Lodz Design Festival 2013 as an independent exhibition. At the opening ceremony of the pavilion, not only the final result of work i.e. the spatial structure will be presented. In addition visitors would be invited to see a professional record of all actions, undertaken during the whole process, in the form of movies, photographs collected and edited by students from the Multimedia Centre. Whole project is organized by the Scientific Group of Architecture Students KĄT in cooperation with various members of Lodz University of Technology, as well as Polish and foreign tutors-architects.
