Sometimes doing something more and different pays off!

Yesterday, our 3 Erasmus student took part in art workshops with children in Inclusive Primary School nr 51 in Bytom. Some salt dough angels were made, kids were having fun and great experience for everybody was gained! See for yourself and check some photos!

The Orientation Week is over!
New people, new places, a new home… It was a time full of new challenges, adventures and events for new students here in Katowice! Our section made sure that they adjust well despite the cold weather!

We had tons of fun at Tandem party, we explored the city during the City Game, visited the Silesian Museum, met authorities of University of Economics in Katowice, played bowling at Garage Club, learned new languages at Królestwo Bar, tasted cuisines from all over Europe (and further away!) at Global Village, we were dancing all night at Pomarańcza Club and finally visited Pszczyna Castle.

The mood has settled down a little bit right now, but we won't forget those wonderful experiences. We are grateful and happy that you were with us and we assure you, it's only the beginning!

Hey guys!

As the tests have come to an end and everyone is slowly leaving Poland, we would like to make this final post to thank you for this semester and share the pictures from the Goodbye Party.

On behalf of all ESN members, we hope that the months you’ve spent here have inspired you to expand your horizons, showed you the best of our (party)culture 😉, and gave you friendships that will last a lifetime. But most of all, we hope that your Erasmus experience in Poland has been one you’ll never forget.

Thank you for showing us your cultures, exchanging knowledge from your universities all over the world and giving us feedback so we can further improve the Erasmus experience for our future visitors.

We're almost done with our , but still, we have some words from Mané Ferreira !

I was in Katowice only during the first semester (SAD!). The crew from ESN was amazing, I had people helping me since the moment I knew that I was going to “study” in Poland (like a year ago). They prepared us a whole “orientation week”, parties and even some travels for the weekends. I had this crazy polish buddy who explained to me how things worked in a completely new country and what were the best drinks over there. If that wasn’t enough, with this awesome ESN team you can also have a friend that is happy to translate a full menu from the pizza place next-door for you, just because you are too lazy to cook. So, let me just give a special thanks to Suzy and Olga in particular! I couldn’t ask for more.
These guys helped me a lot in every kind of situation and I can safely say that without their kindness I wouldn’t have had such an amazing time and I wouldn’t have made all these amazing friendships. Thank you to the ESN team, again, for helping me make the choice of staying in Katowice for the best 5 months of my life!

In my opinion, ESN was the best introduction I could ever ask for my erasmus experience. The time guided us through out the semester. During the first few weeks, they showed how everything worked, including various university and residential related procedures; important places, all the way from train and bus stations to supermarkets; they helped us with the language barrier by translating people and documents (such as contracts); and perhaps the most important thing they showed us was how and where to party in Poland.
When it comes to events, I enjoyed the global village, because it united cultures; the bike ride for being a ideal way to break the ice between students; and, last but not least, the parties because created strong friendship bonds otherwise impossible without ESN.

It's time for !

"I really liked the Introduction Week, where we got an introduction of the city and university. My two highlights were the trip to the coalmine because it brings Katowice it's history to life. And second the global village to get a good introduction to all the different cultures present during the exchange. In the end of the semester esn organised the last party where the erasmus awards were presented, for which we could vote ourself what made it even better!"
