Before the holidays, students and lecturers of the English Studies with Spanish programme held a Christmas meeting with Erasmus+ students from the Universidade de Vigo and the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. Together, they prepared and enjoyed Polish and Spanish dishes (including tortilla de patatas, torrijas, pierogi, and decorated gingerbread), while chatting in Polish, English, and Spanish. The event offered an opportunity for integration, cultural exchange, and hands-on language practice, and marked the first of many similar initiatives planned for the programme.

Noc Anglistów 5 is over! This year our offer included as many as 17 stationary events attended by a total of approximately 400 students from Kielce, Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, Busko-Zdrój, Jędrzejów, Szydłowiec, Opatów, Stąporków, Chęciny and Pińczów. 💪💪💪

We express our utmost gratitude to all the visitors who participated in a number of captivating lectures, workshops and presentations! We shall thank all lecturers and their amazing students whose selfless commitment and inexhaustible energy largely contributed to creating this momentous event!

We’re delighted to welcome Rebecca Christina Tomaz Reina Rique to our Institute this academic year! Rebecca is a linguist researching how bilingualism influences reading and writing development in individuals with dyslexia. She is pursuing a double doctoral degree (Cotutelle) between Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

With great pleasure, we welcome Jean Kirschenmann to our Institute, an experienced lecturer and recipient of the prestigious English Language Fellow award, a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. Jean joins our academic community and will be teaching courses in both English Studies and English Studies with Spanish. We are also pleased to share that Hawaii Pacific University mentioned our university in a recently published article. We extend our sincere thanks to U.S. Embassy Warsaw and U.S. Consulate General in Krakow for making this possible.
