🎉 Juwenalia season has officially started in Poland! 🇵🇱
But what exactly are Juwenalia? 👀
Juwenalia are one of the most important and exciting student traditions in Poland, celebrated every year by universities across the country before the end of the academic year 🎶🌸 It is a special time filled with concerts, outdoor events, music, student parades and lots of positive energy.
One of the most symbolic moments of Juwenalia is the official handover of the city keys to students by the mayor or city authorities 🗝️🎓 This tradition symbolizes that, for a few days, the city officially belongs to the students!
Another important part of the celebrations is the student parade, called “korowód”, during which students walk together through the city wearing colorful costumes, carrying university banners and celebrating together in a fun atmosphere 🥳
For many international students, Juwenalia are also a great opportunity to experience Polish student culture and traditions from a completely different perspective ❤️
Students from the Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce are already joining the celebrations and enjoying this special time together! 💃🕺
