🔹 Prof. Denis Arčon
📖 “Local Probe Detection of Spin States”
This lecture will discuss unconventional spin states in geometrically frustrated quantum materials, where competing interactions can stabilize exotic phases such as quantum spin liquids (QSLs). Particular attention will be given to molecular systems based on fullerides, which provide a platform for studying frustration and correlated spin phenomena.
The second part will present experimental methods used to probe these states, focusing on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center magnetometry. These techniques enable sensitive studies of spin dynamics, correlations, and emergent quantum phases in low-dimensional and frustrated materials.

📖 “Cosmology at the Crossroads”
Modern cosmology is firmly rooted in Einstein's century-old theory of general relativity. However, the standard cosmological model built upon this theory is currently being challenged by an unprecedented volume of observational data. Emerging tensions—if fundamentally real—have the potential to ignite a scientific revolution. In this talk, I will trace the profound progress made in cosmology over the last 40 years and explore the critical question: "Where do we stand now?

📖 “Three Millenia of Geometry: from Euclid's axioms to Cosmic Censorship”
The study of geometry is at least 2500 years old, and it is within this field that the concept of mathematical proof – deductive reasoning from a set of axioms – first arose. The lecture will present three areas of geometry: Euclidean, non-Euclidean, and geometry of space-time inside a black hole.
