🌍 The Visit of Asst. Prof. Kristian Turkalj 🇭🇷
This week, our university had the pleasure of hosting Asst. Prof. Kristian Turkalj, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Hrvatsko katoličko sveučilište (Universitas Studiorum Catholica Croatica)! 🇭🇷

➡️ During his visit, Asst. Prof. Turkalj met with Prof. Beata Piskorska, Vice Rector for Students and Internationalisation, to discuss strengthening cooperation between our universities and expanding international opportunities for students and staff. 🤝

➡️ Prof. Turkalj also held talks with Dr hab. Michał Domagała, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration, focusing on future collaboration in the field of law, joint academic initiatives, and faculty-to-faculty cooperation.

➡️ Together with Izabela Witkowska, Head of the International Relations Office, discussions covered the development of the Erasmus+ cooperation, including staff and student mobility, as well as new opportunities for common international projects. 🌍

The Erasmus+ visit was coordinated by Dr Robert Tabaszewski from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration. 🤝

🌍 II Internationalisation Day 🌍
We are proud to announce that KUL, The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, was represented at the II Internationalisation Day of the Uniwersytet Łódzki by our Vice-Rector for Students and Internationalisation, dr hab. Beata Piskorska, prof. KUL! 🎓
➡ The nationwide event brought together leaders of Polish universities to discuss whether internationalisation is a strategic investment, necessity, or competitive advantage 🤝
➡ The seminar focused on the benefits, challenges, and future of international cooperation in higher education, creating a space for valuable exchange of experiences and ideas. 💡

🌏 A Special Visit from Kharkiv 🇺🇦
Last week we had the pleasure of hosting a group of 50 high school students from Kharkiv, Ukraine! 🇺🇦

➡ Together with the KUL Polonia Centre, we welcomed our guests with a tour of the Main Campus, sharing the rich history of our university 🎓
➡ To make the visit even more engaging, we organised a quiz with rewards, based on what the students learned during the tour 🏆

This week our university had the pleasure of hosting Prof. Margo Shea from Salem State University! 🇺🇸
➡We welcomed Prof. Shea with a tour of the Main Campus, presenting the rich history of KUL, The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin 🎓
➡Prof. Shea met with Rev. Prof. Mirosław Wróbel from the Faculty of Theology, as well as representatives of the Institute of English Studies at the Faculty of Humanities, to discuss future academic collaboration 🤝
Together with the representatives of our Academic Mobility Section, discussions also covered opportunities for Erasmus+ academic exchange 🌍

➡ KUL, The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin is a member of the NAWA-EURAXESS network 🌍, within which we organised the international panel “International Networking of Innovation” led by Lublin University of Technology!

➡ At the panel, KUL was proudly represented by our PhD student Dilek Oguz. 🎓Congratulations to all participants, and especially to her 👏.

➡ The discussion focused on international researcher mobility, support systems, and the role of global collaboration in strengthening innovation and academic excellence 🤝💡.

📍 We are proud to announce we're part of the newly established Lublin NAWA-EURAXESS Network! 🌐
On behalf of our University, the Vice-Rector for Students and Internationalization at KUL, Prof. Beata Piskorska, signed an agreement establishing the Lublin NAWA-EURAXESS Network as part of the “AIM – Attracting International Minds” project. The signing ceremony took place at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University and gathered vice-rectors from universities across Lublin. 🎓📃
👥 Joining the network is an important step toward strengthening the international dimension of the region’s academic community and developing a comprehensive support system for researchers coming from abroad. 🤝🏼 By working together, Lublin’s universities will continue to foster the growth of an open, dynamic, and internationally connected academic environment.

🌐The International Visit from Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University 🌏

This week we are honoured to host Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Ağkaya from Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University as part of an Erasmus+ academic mobility programme focused on conflict resolution and peace-building.

Through lectures and discussions based on experiences from Colombia and Türkiye, our students will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into global conflict dynamics, intercultural dialogue and contemporary approaches to peace studies. 🎓

The visit is coordinated by Dr Andrzej Szabaciuk from Department of Political Theory and Eastern Studies at KUL. Thank you for our collaboration. 🇵🇱🤝🇹🇷
