🏠 Looking for accommodation in a UMCS dormitory for the 2026/2027 academic year?

The 1st round of dormitory applications is now open for students who will continue their studies at UMCS in the 2026/2027 academic year.

📅 Application period: 9–29 June 2026

Who can apply?
✅ Students continuing their studies at UMCS, including:
• 2nd–3rd year Bachelor's students (2nd–4th year BSc students)
• 2nd year Master's students
• 2nd–5th year long-cycle programme students
• 2nd–4th year doctoral students
• Students returning from a one-year leave of absence in 2026/2027

📌 How to apply?
• Submit your application exclusively via USOSweb
• Paper applications will not be accepted

⏳ Important dates:
🔹 9–29 June – submit your application via USOSweb
🔹 After 3 July – check the results in USOSweb
🔹 By 15 July – confirm your assigned place in USOSweb
🔹 By 22 July – pay the PLN 400 deposit/booking fee

⚠️ Remember! Failure to confirm your place by 15 July or pay the deposit by 22 July will result in losing your assigned dormitory place.

📎 Additional documents are required only in specific cases (e.g. disability, single parenthood, marriage, orphan/half-orphan status). These documents must be uploaded directly to your application in USOSweb.

On 11-12 June, Oleksandr Shtanhret, an employee of the Office for International Studies and Student Services, represented Maria Curie-Skłodowska University at the "Shaping Student Mobility Beyond 2027" conference in Brussels.
The meeting brought together representatives of the European Commission, Erasmus+ National Agencies, universities and experts responsible for the development of digital student mobility in Europe.
UMCS is one of the ESCI Champions 2025–2027 – universities recognized as leaders in the implementation of the digitization initiative of the Erasmus+ Programme. During the conference, the official award ceremony took place, and as an ESCI Champion, UMCS took direct part in consultations on the future of academic mobility and the next edition of the Erasmus+ Programme for 2028–2035.

Unfortunately, due to the condition of the court and the announced rainfall, we are forced to postpone the WPiD CUP III OPEN tournament to June 19 (Friday) 2026. The hours of the event remain unchanged (9:00 - 16:00).

👉 This Tuesday, the International Festival of Cultures will be held again at our Faculty - for the third time.
This is a flagship event International Relations Scientific Club, which gathers the academic community and the inhabitants of Lublin around the idea of intercultural dialogue, mutual knowledge and diversity that connects the forces.
📌 Participants can look forward to, among m.in example, national stands, traditional delicacies from different parts of the world, inspiring discussions and travel stories, as well as a concert with songs in 14 languages. ORKA is an AI assistant that helps users find information on the recognition of education, apostille and legalisation of documents.
It supports users in selecting the right procedure, navigating NAWA websites and finding answers to frequently asked questions related to the Bureau’s activities.

ORKA works in Polish and English, supporting both users in Poland and international users.
