ChallengeEU Student Ambassador Success!

We are incredibly proud of Ms. Georden Shaw, our third-year English Division student!

Last week, she represented us by joining fellow Student Ambassadors from all nine ChallengeEU Partner Universities in Offenburg, Germany, for the inaugural ChallengeEU Student Ambassadors Meeting.

The core focus of the meeting was embodying the Alliance's motto: strengthening collaboration, innovation, and intercultural exchange across Europe.
Ms. Shaw and her peers developed valuable skills in workshops on:

New Clinical Hospital: A Step Closer to Reality!

The University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn and the local authorities have taken a monumental step toward constructing a new clinical hospital. This project will elevate healthcare standards for our community and create advanced educational opportunities for future medical professionals.

We are thrilled to announce the signing of a Letter of Intent, which symbolizes our collective commitment to this transformative endeavor. The new facility will enhance patient care and foster medical innovation, and development of the School of Medicine.

Incredible news! Professor Andrzej Grzybowski from the School of Medicine University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn has been recognized as one of the most influential and innovative ophthalmologists worldwide, ranking in the research category of The Ophthalmologist Power List 2025! 🏆

This prestigious list includes only fifty names from across the globe, highlighting Professor Grzybowski's pioneering work in areas such as cataract treatment and the use of artificial intelligence in eye care, including the early detection of myopia risk.

Being the first and only Polish ophthalmologist in the top 2% of scientists worldwide according to Stanford University, and now ranking in The Ophthalmologist Power List, is testament to the world-class research taking place right here at UWM.

Exciting news from France!

Representatives from Vilnius University (LT), Universite De Franche-Comte (FR), University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (PL) and Gluk Media (LT) gathered for the official transnational meeting of the project "MedED PolyTrauma VR: Increasing quality of emergency medicine education through polytrauma virtual reality training".

Our mission? To revolutionise emergency medicine training by addressing the limitations of traditional methods! We're developing realistic polytrauma scenarios using Virtual Reality (VR) technology to provide immersive and interactive learning experiences.

Stay tuned for updates as we work to improve the quality of emergency medicine training through VR experiences!
