🚨The Pritzker Architecture Prize has been delayed this year, with no new announcement date confirmed amid scrutiny of Epstein.
The postponement comes amid renewed public scrutiny surrounding past associations between members of the Pritzker family and Jeffrey Epstein. While the Prize operates independently as a foundation, the broader context has re-entered public discourse.
Since 1979, the Pritzker has shaped architectural history, recognizing figures whose work defines eras and influences global practice. A pause in that cycle is rare and noticeable.
In a profession increasingly shaped by transparency, accountability, and public dialogue, even institutions with long-standing authority are not immune to scrutiny.
This year, the silence feels louder than the announcement.
