Prof. Derek Abell (Founding President and Professor Emeritus of ESMT - European School of Management and Technology in Berlin, who was also a Harvard Business School professor) is going to visit us again at the Faculty of Management! This time he is going to hold a lecture titled "What are the differences between strategy, vision, and mission".

The European Investment Bank Institute (EIB) is inviting to a lectures that will be given by the winners of
- the "Outstanding Contribution Award" - Prof. Dr. Klaus F. Zimmerman, on the topic of "The mobility Challenge for Growth and Integration in Europe",
- the "Young Economist Prize" - Prof. Dr. Elias Papaioannou, on the topic of "financial regulation, banking integratio, and business cycle".

Two lectures will be given during the award ceremony of the first EIB Prize.

On 14th of November we were very lucky to meet with a wonderful person. Our guest was Mr Andrzej Kinast – Polish-British expert in accounting, since 1990 adviser to foreign investors in Poland and a Founder and Senior Partner of several accounting firms in the last 20 years. Mr Kinast not only told us about introducing international accounting standards in Poland but also revealed the mystery hidden in the title of the meeting, which was "Poland always has to do things differently or the case of the unamortised zoo animals", and all that he did with a great dose of humour. What is more, we had a chance to ask him questions, which he gladly answered. All the participants appreciated the meeting a lot.
