During her stay as a Visiting Professor at the University of Bologna, Prof. Katarzyna Marciniak and Prof. Valentina Garulli visited the Centro di Ricerca in Letteratura per l’Infanzia and the Laboratorio di Letteratura per l’Infanzia, headed by Prof. William Grandi, author of a seminal monograph on the reception of mythology in children’s literature, “La musa bambina. During the visit, Dr Marco Morassutti, a librarian at the “Mario Gattullo” Library of the Department of Educational Sciences, also presented the Centre’s collections. We look forward to our future collaboration!😃

On 18th February Dr Maria Wiśniewska (Wydział „Artes Liberales” UW) member of the „Our Mythical Childhood” programme gave a lecture at the „Strumienie” High School on the idea of leadership, presenting it using the example of the mythical journey of the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece. The lecture aroused great interest among the high school students, who asked questions about the importance of interdisciplinarity in the humanities and education.

⚡️ Antyczne mity mogą pełnić rolę kulturowego GPS-u – pomagają zrozumieć nasze położenie we współczesnym świecie.

🦸‍♂️ Prof. Katarzyna Marciniak z Wydziału „Artes Liberales” UW wraz z międzynarodowym zespołem badaczy realizuje projekt „The Modern Argonauts”, aby przygotować młodych ludzi na przyszłość, proponuje im podróż w świat mitologii greckiej i rzymskiej.

All best Holiday wishes to You!😃
"...I pray my wish will come true
For my child and your child too
He'll see the day of glory
See the day when men of goodwill
Live in peace, live in peace again
Peace on Earth..."
