The "Sympozjum Egejskie: 10th Conference in Aegean Archaeology" has come to a close ⬇️
🔎This 10th anniversary edition featured the main conference aimed at early career researchers, along with two thematic workshops:
📜- Current Developments and Challenges in Aegean Bronze Age Script, Seal, and Sealing Studies,
🛠- Spaces and Landscapes of Production in the Aegean World and Beyond.
Over the course of the event, we had the pleasure of hearing 44 papers and three keynote lectures by distinguished scholars in Aegean Archaeology:
👩🏫 - Prof. Sevi Triantaphyllou (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki),
🧑🏫 - Prof. Fritz Blakolmer (University of Vienna),
👨🏫 - Prof. Janusz Czebreszuk (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, and PAIA).
🌐Held from 9th to 13th June 2025, the conference brought together 163 scholars and students from across Europe, the Americas, and Asia online, and welcomed 36 in-person attendees at the Faculty of Archaeology, University of Warsaw.
📖The proceedings (the sixth volume in the Sympozjum Egejskie series) will be published with Brepols, as part of the Warsaw Studies in Archaeology series.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants and guests who joined us, as well as to the dedicated student helpers who made the event run smoothly!🩵
We look forward to welcoming you again in Warsaw or online at the 11th Sympozjum Egejskie in 2027! 👋
