The Taube Department of Jewish Studies at the University of Wrocław in Poland is proud to announce its new International MA Programme in East European Jewish Studies, taught entirely in English. Join us for three academic tracks and three languages over three semesters.
Our master classes and seminars focus on three key areas of Jewish life and experience in Eastern Europe. The first track, Hasidism, examines the history of a major Jewish popular mystical movement that is flourishing worldwide. Our excellent faculty members and world-renown guest lecturers will guide you into the social and cultural history of Hasidism, the piety and social life of hasidic leaders and the rank-and-file, and Hasidic-non-Hasidic encounters. Digital Hasidism as well as, Hasidic stories, mystical thought, and practice are some of the many other topics to be explored.
