On January 12–13, the Faculty of Social Sciences hosted the PERIOD. social project, carried out in cooperation with Koło Naukowe Zarządzania Projektami Społecznymi UWr and Różowa Skrzyneczka. Its aim was to supply the Pink Boxes with menstrual products and draw attention to the problem of menstrual poverty and the need for an open conversation about menstrual health.🩸

The project was complemented by awareness-raising activities and an educational quiz open to all anyone interested. The quiz was an opportunity to gain knowledge and learn where and how to seek the help that might be needed. Participants could also write a word of support on a piece of paper, talk and ask questions to the project coordinators - students of Social Project Management who carried out the PERIOD. campaign. The project showed that access to basic hygiene products is a matter of dignity and equality, not a taboo subject.
Implementation of the project would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks:

The result of our joint efforts was the acquisition of a total of 1,000 hygiene products, which will be placed in Pink Boxes at the faculty. This is concrete help, but also an important signal of solidarity and social awareness.

We would also like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand. Thank you for the conversations, for participating in the quiz, and for your support. Your participation showed that the PERIOD. project can bring about real change if it is backed by values, cooperation, and consideration for others.❤️🩸
