The UPR-NAP prepares highly competitive RN's in the field of nurse anesthesia. Reciprocity forms may be obtained from the Puerto Rico State Board of Nursing.

Admission Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program (CCNE - "Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education" or NLNAC - "National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission").

-A preferred undergraduate grade point average of 3.00 in general education courses, sciences and nursing courses.

-An undergraduate statistics and chemistry courses.

-English proficiency as evidenced by Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score.

-Evidence of permanent license as registered nurse. To comply with state laws, all students are required to be licensed in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The license is required at the beginning of the Program.

-One year of professional experience as a registered nurse in acute critical care in the last five years.

-Minimum score required:
EXADEP - 400 or Graduate Record Examination (GRE) GRE - 400 on both verbal and quantitative reasoning GRE revised General Test- 140 on both verbal and quantitative reasoning

-Possess current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

-Three letters of recommendation. One from each of the following: a) most recent employer; b) a health care professional preferably a licensed physician or a CRNA, and c) previous teacher that can attest the academic suitability to pursue graduate education. The letters should reflect an accurate appraisal of clinical skills, experience, and independent decision-making.

-Submit a written commitment to sit for National Certification Examination (NCE) within 120 days after completing the clinical and didactic requirements.

-Be computer literate.

-Complete the Medical Sciences Campus' Online Admissions Form and submit the supporting documentation required.

Como parte del curso ENFE 7400: Healthcare Finance and Economics, ofrecido por el Dr. Emanuel Díaz Ortiz, nuestros estudiantes participaron en una experiencia que integró emprendimiento, creatividad y bienestar.

🧺 Durante una dinámica tipo picnic en el campus del RCM, presentaron sus ideas de negocio, los productos o servicios que desean ofrecer, las necesidades que buscan atender y los logos de sus futuras compañías.

🎨 Luego llevaron su creatividad al lienzo, plasmando la visión y el significado detrás de sus logos.

✨ Entre música, refrigerios y diálogo, transformaron el aprendizaje en una experiencia innovadora mientras continúan desarrollando sus planes de negocio.

¡Porque aprender también es crear, innovar, conectar y cuidar nuestro bienestar!

From a Business Idea to a Purpose-Driven Vision

As part of ENFE 7400: Healthcare Finance and Economics, taught by Dr. Emanuel Díaz Ortiz, our students enjoyed a learning experience combining entrepreneurship, creativity, and wellness.

🧺 During a picnic-style activity at the Medical Sciences Campus, they shared their business ideas, proposed products or services, the needs they aim to address, and their future company logos.

🎨 They then brought their creativity to canvas, expressing the meaning and vision behind their logos.

✨ Through music, refreshments, and meaningful conversations, students embraced an innovative learning experience while continuing to develop their business plans.

Because learning is also about creating, innovating, connecting, and embracing wellness!
