In 2025, the at-risk-of-poverty rate in Portugal fell to 15,4% (1,66 million people).
Poverty was more prevalent among unemployed individuals (42,6%), single-parent households (35,1%), and large families (26,7%). The risk of poverty was also higher among women than men (16,3% vs. 14,5%).
