💬 Matheus Santos, doctoral researcher at CISSA, gave a presentation entitled “From Behavior to Breach: Detecting Insider Threats Through Multi-Paradigm Modeling and the Cyber MOHO Framework”.

🚀 Yesterday, May 25, the Laginha Serafim Auditorium at the Department of Civil Engineering hosted a workshop dedicated to the European SATERA project.

✈️ During the session, the innovative solutions developed by the project were presented, highlighting SATERA’s contribution to safer and more efficient civil aviation and bringing together participants from the academic community for a moment of knowledge and innovation sharing.

🗣️The workshop also featured two lectures on space weather and space debris, encouraging reflection on the sector’s current and future challenges.

☕ Next Wednesday, May 13th, the “Coffee Algorithm” series continues with guest lectures.

📑 This time, Ricardo Inácio and Luís Amorim from FEUP will join us to discuss their papers titled “Meta-learning for Stress Testing and Selective Forecasting” and “Graph-based Synthetic Time Series Generation,” respectively.

🎓 There are now 11 students who have obtained a Dual Degree through the international partnership between DEI-FCTUC and the 澳門理工大學 Macao Polytechnic University (MPU)!

As part of the Joint Research Laboratory in Advanced Technologies for Smart Cities, the students have successfully completed the Doctorate in Informatics Engineering at UC and the Doctorate in Computer Applied Technology at MPU. 🤝

🧠 In effect since 2022, this collaboration has promoted academic exchange and joint research in strategic areas such as Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Information and Communication Technologies, strengthening knowledge sharing between the two institutions.

The CISUC PhD Summit brought our community together for a full day of connection, learning and inspiration! 🎓

Held on April 29th at the Department of Informatics Engineering, the event welcomed our newest PhD students while creating space for everyone to engage with the vibrant research happening across . From insightful poster sessions and alumni perspectives to informative talks and dynamic networking moments, the summit fostered meaningful exchanges and new connections. 💡
