QCtalks: Series of Talks on Quantum Computing
A series of talks is being organised aiming at providing a privileged long-term (virtual) forum, involving speakers from academia, research labs, and industry, that covers a wide spectrum of topics regarding quantum computing, including, but not limited to, programming models and languages and applications engineering and technologies.
The series are organized in cycles of talks, likely 1 or 2 talks per month, and sporadically even including panel discussions, targeting members from academia, researchers and practitioners from labs and industry as well as university students.
The first cycle (https://dei.fe.up.pt/qctalks/portfolio/1st-talk/)
started on January 27, and our second talk is on Feb. 3, 2021 (5:30pm — 6:30pm CET):
Title: Overview of quantum computing and quantum annealing
Speaker: Federico Spedalieri
Affiliation: Information Sciences Institute / University of Southern California, USA
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required. We will send you the link to video-call on the day of the talk.
