O GERI prepara, executa e apoia as atividades de internacionalização da FDUL, no âmbito do Programa Erasmus+, tendo vindo a promover e a intensificar a europeização e a internacionalização da Faculdade, através de numerosas iniciativas. O GERI é uma unidade administrativa técnico-científica da FDUL, que tem como função organizar e coordenar as atividades desenvolvidas pela Faculdade no âmbito dos

programas de intercâmbio universitário. Doutor Vasco Pereira da Silva, docente e presidente do Conselho de Escola da FDUL. Entre outras atribuições, compete ao GERI celebrar protocolos de intercâmbio com universidades europeias no quadro do Programa Erasmus+, assegurar a execução dos demais programas de intercâmbio de que a Faculdade seja parte, promover a integração dos alunos visitantes na comunidade académica, prestar apoio aos docentes em aspetos relevantes para a atividade letiva, avaliação e mobilidade, bem como representar a FDUL no âmbito das suas competências.

We are happy to inform you that the registration for this year's SustainMV online programme is open!
SustainMV Online is the 3-day online programme of our international summer school jointly presented by all universities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (MV), in the North-East of Germany.
The overarching theme for this unique event is sustainability – with a focus on ecosystems, tourism, renewable energies, digital and technological innovations, recycling and waste management. Academics from all MV universities, who are all experts in their respective fields, will present their work and research.

You can choose either from 17th to 21st July 2023 or from 24th to 28th July 2023 (Or even both!)

- Courses from 10am to 2pm with a break, in small collaborative groups (taught in English)
- Good opportunity to increase your academic contacts as all professors and participants come from foreign universities

- (Optional) Within leisure programme, this year we invite all participants to live the Camino with Science Experience: 5 afternoon walks in a choice of stretches along the Camino to Santiago from Ferrol (the English Camino), arriving Santiago de Compostela on the last day.


All courses are cross-curricular and in relation with the CIF specialisation areas (Industrial Robotics, Materials, Optimisation of Industrial Processes, Naval and Offshore Engineering, Industrial Management and Product Development). Thus, they are addressed to several profiles, as the collaborative tasks will every participant integrate its previous knowledge to reach a common goal.

Courses include contents on Artificial Intelligence, Product design and development, ICT, Smart Manufacturing, Start-ups, Sustainable Energy, Robotics, Electronic Commerce, Lean Six Sigma, Ethics in Industrial Management… Based on your profile, the CIF ISS team will send you a list of courses that best suit you for you to decide which one you like to attend.

International Staff: 100€

Stay and travel expenses to Ferrol must be paid by the participants themselves. For those universities eligible for Erasmus + funds, the International Relations Office will sign STT documents from their home universities under the Erasmus mobility for training. To this end, a letter of invitation, the training assignment or any other required document will be provided.

Mykolas Romeris University (LT VILNIUS06) and its Erasmus+ mobility office (International Office) kindly invites colleagues from Partner universities to our 11th international staff exchange week taking place from 19 to 23 June, 2023 in Vilnius (Lithuania).

The main objective of this event is to widen and strengthen cooperation, exchange know-how, good experiences and practices with our Partner Institutions from Erasmus+ programme countries and KA107 international credit mobility partners.
This year, staff exchange week is organized as Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) No. 2021-1-LT01-KA131-HED-000009702-1 for staff members and shall be dedicated to presenting and sharing with the participants Mykolas Romeris University as a Challenge Based and Experiential Workplace.
Therefore we are planning a virtual 1 day training component on 14 June 2023 before the physical mobility part (19-23 June, 2023) .

The content of the week is prepared both for staff members interested in sharing their experience among administrative units (International offices, Quality assurance, Student and Staff services, Research management etc) and also for staff members from the Faculties who work on administration of studies or international relations.

19th Monday to be arrival day and an informal meeting in the afternoon
20th Tuesday University’s meet and greet and getting to know all participating universities (usually we have about 20 participants)
21st Wednesday acquaintance with receiving non-teaching departments (like international office, research and innovation center, academic affairs center, community well-being, etc.) who will present their challenges and actual experiences which they dealt with over the last years, share ideas and engage participants into the discussions.
22nd Thursday acquaintance with academic faculties (we have 4 faculties altogether, so there will be meetings with staff of each of the faculty) and their practices in providing challenge based and experiential learning for the diverse groups of students. Staff exchange week participants will have an opportunity to attend a Graduation ceremony.
23rd Friday will be dedicated to cultural-educational programme with finalization of the staff exchange week
REMINDER: We organize this week as a Blended intensive programme (BIP) for staff from our 2021 KA131 mobility project (on 14 June we plan a virtual part before the arrival to Lithuania)

The application deadline is 31 May 2023. To apply for participation in the Staff training week, please fill in the on-line Registration form

– we will announce by e-mail message all selected candidates on 1 June 2023.
– Main working language will be English.
– Every participant will be asked to actively participate in sharing their experience and or best practices on different topics of the Staff Exchange Week and to participate in the virtual part on 14 June 2023 before arrival to Lithuania)
– Transportation and accommodation are personal responsibilities of the selected candidates. Erasmus+ staff mobility grants for training should be asked only from home University (applicable for applicants from Universities of EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme).

This is to inform you that the application for our on-site summer school programme running from August 28th until September 8th will open soon. From May 1st until June 1st we accept applications directly via our website. Thanks to government funding, we are again able to offer SustainMV 2023 tuition free. Our on-site summer school is accredited with four ECTS according to the European Credit Transfer System. Accommodation is also a part of the scholarship. A final decision concerning the scholarship holders can be expected mid-June.

SustainMV, this one of a kind event, is jointly organized by the Higher Education Institutions of our region, Mecklenburg- Western Pomerania. The overarching theme is Sustainability in the fields of Tourism, Renewable Energies, Digital & Technological Innovations, Recycling & Waste Management and Ecosystems, showcasing opportunities for transformation through science and education for a sustainable future.We accept applications for SustainMV 2023 from advanced Bachelor as well as Master students in any sustainability related subject area.

Cursos de Línguas do CLi-FLUL | Verão

Estão abertas até dia 24 de Junho de 2022 as inscrições para os Cursos Intensivos de Verão que o Centro de Línguas da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa que terão lugar em Julho. Os Cursos estão disponíveis para adultos mas também para crianças e jovens.

Este ano há uma novidade: o Ucraniano entrou na lista de cursos disponíveis, para poder ser dada uma resposta aos pedidos que começam a chegar.

Também nos Cursos para crianças e jovens dos 10 aos 16 há uma língua nova: o Espanhol!

Estes cursos terão a duração de uma quinzena e são uma forma lúdica e (quase) informal de aguçar a curiosidade dos mais jovens para a aprendizagem de uma segunda língua, em tempo de férias.

IN REFUGEE LAW AND RIGHTS

ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Join us for the 9th International Summer School in Refugee Law and Rights founded 2012 by Dr Selma Porobić with late OBE Prof. Emerita Barbara Harrell-Bond from the University of Oxford. The school is modelled according to international summer schools initiated by late professor Harrell-Bond in the 1980s as pioneering refugee law training for the humanitarians.
We bring together leading academics and practitioners focusing both theoretical and practical aspects of the legal refugee protection, to proactively contribute to its advancement through future carriers in academia, UN, governmental and non-governmental organizations, media and other sectors of work. Our goal is to advance the legal protection skills and to enhance collaboration in responding to the current challenges of international refugee protection in Europe and globally.
Due to recent Russian Federation's aggression on Ukraine and the ongoing war with massive scale displacement of civilians, this year’s school is entirely focused on Ukraine and entitled ‘War-displaced Persons’ Protection Rights - Case study Ukraine. The school is donated to Aurora Alliance Associated partner, V.N Karazin Kharkiv National University, co-organised and hosted by the Faculty of Law at Palacký University Olomouc. It will offer a 10-day hybrid training programme, possible to attend both in-person and/or online.

APPLICANTS
The school is open to professionals from different backgrounds and students of all academic disciplines. Our participants typically include staff from the international refugee and humanitarian organisations, regional and local NGOs, government officials working on refugee protection, students, scholars and researchers focusing human rights and forced migration as well as practicing or aspiring lawyers, journalists and activists.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
We employ an interactive learning environment using a combination of lectures, documentary films, debates and open discussions, enabling participants both to contribute to and gain an in-depth knowledge on refugee rights. Instructors are experienced and committed lawyers, scholars and practitioners in the field and bring a comparative perspective to the international protection debate. The hybrid format this year will allow for combination of interactions between participants online and in-person with dedicated workshop and group work assignments.

 The Temporary Protection Directive and Refugee Rights
 Refugee Reception and Integration Rights –Central-eastern Europe
III - Case Study focus – Ukraine and Humanitarian Emergency Responses
 Displacement as Humanitarian Emergency: Preparedness, Protection and Coordination of Aid Delivery to Ukrainians
 Health in Emergencies: Medical Care and Mental Health Protection of Displaced and Humanitarians: Needs Assessment and Provision of care for Ukrainian IDPs and Refugees

HOW TO APPLY

ADMISSION FEE
The admission fee of 400 EUR covers full school program with special evening events, food and refreshments, school materials and tutoring during the 10-days‘ hybrid training.
For German students there is a scholarship fee available for this school through DAAD funding if apply no later than 31th May on Karazin’s website.
For Aurora Alliance students, mobility funds to cover travel and accommodation are available. through. Contact your local Aurora offices for more information after successful school application.

EVALUATION AND AWARDS
