A New Visual Era for Canoe Sprint Portugal and for Canoe Europe
Today we proudly presented the new logo for the Canoe Portugal brand, with a special focus on Canoe Sprint Portugal — marking a new chapter in our visual identity.
After more than 10 years with the same image, the decision to evolve was both natural and necessary. The new logo preserves the essence of canoe sprint while expressing it through a more dynamic, contemporary and international visual language, aligned with the level of competition Portugal now delivers and hosts.
This presentation follows an important symbolic moment for our sport. Yesterday, on the anniversary of the European Canoe Association, the ECA also announced a new phase of evolution, with upcoming changes to its name and visual identity — a clear sign that canoeing in Europe is embracing renewal, modernization and future-focused branding.

🏆 For the first time, in combination with Masters age groups
📍 Hosted in Montemor-o-Velho, a venue firmly established as a reference for European and world canoe sprint
The new logo conveys movement, energy and performance, using modern geometric forms that allow greater flexibility across digital platforms, broadcast, merchandise and event branding.
This is more than a logo change — it is a reflection of ambition, evolution and confidence in the future of Canoe Sprint Portugal.
It introduces greater dynamism and visual impact;
It aligns Portugal’s image with the direction European canoeing is taking;
It is more adaptable and future-proof than the previous identity;
It reinforces Portugal’s position as a leading international host;
