Sometimes, innovation starts with a simple question: “How could we do things better?”

At the High School Innovation Challenge, high school students are invited to turn real-world problems into ideas, ideas into solutions, and solutions into projects with startup potential.

Your field of study doesn’t matter, and no advanced programming experience is required. What matters is curiosity, creativity, the desire to learn, and the courage to try.

With the support of mentors and experts, teams will explore AI, technology, business, and innovation in a journey that can take their ideas much further.

🏆 €45,000 in university scholarships

Graduation Day, filled with smiles, emotions, warm embraces, and perhaps a single thought crossing everyone’s mind: "Where did the years go?" 🎓✨
For the Class of 2026 graduates from the School of Management-Marketing, the years spent at RAU meant far more than lectures, exams, and diplomas. They meant people who turned into lifelong friends, professors and mentors who inspired, fresh experiences, opportunities, and memories to cherish for years to come. For many of them, RAU felt like a family, a second home.

They learned that real impact in business is built through agile leadership, strategic thinking, and creativity, turning bold ideas into genuine value for brands and organizations. Yet the most important lesson goes beyond lecture halls: they understood that the real world brings complex projects, tight deadlines, and high-stakes decisions where, beyond strategies, KPIs, and polished pitch decks, you always work with people. From an Idea to a Startup: What Happens at the High School Innovation Challenge? 💡

Over the course of 8 weeks, the teams participating in the High School Innovation Challenge will follow a complete innovation journey, from identifying a real-world problem to developing a solution and presenting it to a jury.

🔹 From Idea to Prototype – Teams will explore the market, gain a deeper understanding of users’ needs, and build their first MVP.

🔹 From Prototype to Startup – Participants will explore AI automation and agents, business strategy, and the process of turning an idea into a sustainable project.

🔹 From Project to Pitch – Teams will work alongside mentors, receive feedback, and prepare to present their ideas to experts.

The journey will culminate in the Grand Final on December 5 at Romanian-American University, where the finalist teams will present their projects.

🏆 €45,000 in study scholarships and over €20,000 in prizes, including cash and products.

You don’t need to have all the answers from the start. You just need the curiosity to begin. 🏹

For the Class of 2026 graduates of the Faculty of International Business, their years at URA have meant much more than lectures, exams, and diplomas. AI. Business. Ideas that can change the world around you. 🚀

The Romanian-American University and Google Romania are launching the High School Innovation Challenge, the first national AI and Business competition dedicated to innovative high school students.

The competition is designed for high school students from Romania, who have an idea or have identified a problem they would like to solve and want to explore how it can be transformed into a project with real-world impact.

Participants will form teams and embark on an 8-week journey exploring technology, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship.

Throughout the competition, they will develop their own ideas and learn alongside mentors and industry experts.

🏆 €45,000 in study scholarships and over €20,000 in prizes, including cash and products.

🌍 Intercultural Connections at RAU!

It was a privilege to welcome Rojas Moscoso Alberto Augusto from Universidad Finis Terras as part of the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) — Preparing Students for an Intercultural Environment, hosted by our Erasmus+ Office and the Department of Foreign Languages.

Alberto Augusto highlighted the many shared interests and academic connections between our institutions, noting that RAU’s high level of education and international faculty make it a prestigious destination recognized internationally, including in Chile. For him, this program was a valuable opportunity to deepen institutional collaboration and experience RAU’s academic community firsthand.

His advice for students? Don't miss the chance to gain international experience, develop your professional skills, and embrace every opportunity to learn and grow!

The second edition of the REC Program has come to an end, bringing together shared perspectives and experiences between Romania and Japan.

The Romanian-American University and the "Angela Hondru" Romanian-Japanese Studies Center accompanied the participants throughout the project, which combined study visits with direct dialogue between Japanese and Romanian youth. The activities included meetings with representatives from academia, diplomacy, public administration, business, and the cultural sector across several cities.
