We are pleased to share and support the participation of Angela Achitei, President of ADV Group and Board Member of AFIN, as a speaker at 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐅𝐈𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋.𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦, taking place in Bucharest on 21–22 October 2026.

Her contribution will bring the perspective of social finance into the wider debate on access to capital, financial markets and the challenges faced by businesses and organisations in the current economic environment.

🌱 For NextSEED-EU, this is a particularly relevant topic. Understanding how social enterprises can access appropriate financing and how social finance can complement traditional financial mechanisms is an important part of the dialogue we aim to develop around social economy and social entrepreneurship in the European Union.

We appreciate the work of ADV Group, AFIN and their professionals in bringing social finance closer to mainstream economic and financial debates and wish Angela Achitei a successful and insightful discussion in Bucharest.

Cum se schimbă accesul la capital într-o economie marcată de turbulențe economice și geopolitice? Și ce rol poate avea finanțarea socială în acest context?

Pe 21 octombrie, Angela Achitei, președinte ADV Group și membru în Consiliul de Administrație AFIN, participă în calitate de speaker PROFIT FINANCIAL.Forum, ediția a IX-a, organizată la București.

Angela va interveni în panelul dedicat instituțiilor financiare nebancare și intermediarilor financiari, alături de reprezentanți ai UniCredit Leasing, Banca Transilvania Leasing, Raiffeisen Leasing, Provident Financial România și 123Credit.

Este o oportunitate de a aduce în dezbaterea financiară o categorie de organizații și afaceri care creează valoare economică și impact în comunități, dar pentru care accesul la capital rămâne adesea dificil.

Unele au deja clienți, contracte, servicii sau proiecte în derulare, însă nu dispun de istoricul financiar, garanțiile sau profilul solicitat de instituțiile bancare tradiționale.

AFIN, singura instituție financiară socială autorizată de BNR, cu acționariat românesc și Social Finance Association, dezvoltate în ecosistemul ADV Group, răspund acestei nevoi prin soluții de creditare și resurse adaptate activității și etapelor de dezvoltare ale acestor organizații și afaceri.

📍 During the event, we will present the academic teams involved, the main objectives and activities of the projects, as well as a brief overview of the courses that will be developed over the next three years.

Within 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐃-𝐄𝐔, we aim to bring our academic community closer to the organisations, financing mechanisms and real-world initiatives that shape the social economy ecosystem.

The 5th edition of the 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓 – “NGOs in Social Entrepreneurship” offers Romanian NGOs the opportunity to turn ideas for products or services into viable economic activities that can generate their own revenues while supporting their social mission.

Am deschis înscrierile pentru Acceleratorul de Întreprinderi Sociale, Ediția a V-a – «ONG-uri în antreprenoriat social»

Una dintre provocările importante pentru sustenabilitatea unui ONG este capacitatea de a dezvolta surse proprii de venit.

Acceleratorul «ONG-uri în antreprenoriat social» este un program pentru organizațiile care vor să transforme o idee de produs sau serviciu într-o activitate economică viabilă, care generează venituri și susține misiunea ONG-ului.

Până pe 23 octombrie 2026, ONG-urile din România pot aplica, printr-o singură candidatură, la un program care aduce împreună:

→ grant nerambursabil de până la 200.000 lei
→ credit AFIN de până la 200.000 lei, opțional și evaluat separat
→ mentorat gratuit timp de 24 de luni, pentru dezvoltarea și implementarea afacerii.

Vom selecta 10 ONG-uri pentru Social Finance Lab: Bootcamp & Impact Pitching, organizat la Iași, între 18 și 20 noiembrie. Timp de trei zile, organizațiile vor lucra aplicat pe planurile de afaceri.

La final, 7 organizații vor putea primi granturi de până la 200.000 lei fiecare și vor continua programul cu mentorat și sprijin pentru implementare.

🪘 On October 6, 2026, the 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐒𝐄𝐄𝐃-𝐄𝐔 – 𝐉𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 hosted the workshop “𝐼𝑛𝑣𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑅&𝐷: 𝐴 𝐹𝑖𝑟𝑚-𝐿𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑙 𝐼𝑛𝑛𝑜𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐷𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝐸𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑢𝑟𝑠” at the UAIC Learning Center, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași.

🗣️ Our distinguished guest was 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐢, from the Department of Economics and Business, Università di Sassari, Italy.

🧑‍🏫 Starting from the broader relationship between technology, investment and economic growth, Professor Carboni gradually brought the discussion to the firm level, highlighting why investment in Research & Development (R&D) matters for generating higher added value, strengthening competitiveness and supporting firms in accessing global markets. Particular attention was given to the relatively low level of R&D expenditure and public R&D funding in Romania compared with other economies.

💡 The discussion then moved from why firms should invest in R&D to the equally important question of how such investment can be financed. Participants explored different financing channels — from self-financing and bank credit to public and fiscal grants — and discussed the rationale behind public financial support for R&D.
Professor Carboni highlighted how public intervention may help address market and financial constraints, stimulate additional private investment and generate wider technological spillovers.

🎓 The workshop offered our students an opportunity to connect economic theory with firm-level entrepreneurial decisions and to reflect on the links between R&D, innovation, financing, competitiveness and economic development.

The event was moderated by NextSEED-EU professors Constantin-Marius Apostoaie and Bilan Irina.

Today we open a new three-year chapter at Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași, FEAA - Facultatea de Economie și Administrarea Afacerilor Iași.

♟️NextSEED-EU will bring 𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒚 and 𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 closer to students, exploring their role in addressing societal challenges and contributing to a more inclusive and resilient European Union.

🎯 Over the next 3️⃣ years, the project will combine four specialised courses organised within Winter and Summer Schools with educational field visits, workshops, webinars, KoFEAA expert sessions, research activities, a Scientific International Conference and a Showcase Fair. A particularly important dimension of -EU will be the connection between academia and practice, supported by collaboration with experts and organisations from the social economy and social finance ecosystem.

🦹 The project will be implemented with the support and expertise of two experienced practitioners in the field, Angela Achitei and Manuela Iftimoaei, representing the AFIN – ADV Group – Social Finance Association social economy ecosystem and bring valuable practice-based insights into the project’s educational and networking activities.

Building on the experience and achievements of the Jean Monnet Module NextStepEU, and further developing the academic direction initiated through one of its four courses – “𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑆𝑜𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝐼𝑠𝑠𝑢𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑆𝑜𝑐𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠” – we are moving forward with a new project: 𝑵𝒆𝒙𝒕𝑺𝑬𝑬𝑫-𝑬𝑼 – 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑬𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏.

Recently approved for funding under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Actions, -EU will be implemented at FEAA - Facultatea de Economie și Administrarea Afacerilor Iași, Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași, over the next three years, starting with October 1st, 2026.

The project will be implemented with the support and expertise of two experienced practitioners in the field, Angela Achiței and Manuela Iftimoaei, representing the AFIN – ADV Group – Social Finance Association social economy ecosystem and bringing valuable practice-based insights into the project’s educational and networking activities.

🌱 NextSEED-EU takes our previous work one step further. While NextStepEU explored some of the major economic and societal challenges facing the European Union, the new Module will focus specifically on the social economy and social entrepreneurship and on their potential to contribute to a more inclusive and resilient Europe.

And this is also why this page is entering a new chapter. The community created around NextStepEU will continue here, now providing a home for NextSEED-EU and its activities.

📣 The 2️⃣1️⃣st session, held on April 8th, 2026, at the “Performance Step by Step” Learning Center, Universitatea „Alexandru Ioan Cuza” din Iași, brought together students and professionals for an engaging group tutoring session on:

🚀 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲-𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞: 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 🚀

Coordinated by Constantin-Marius Apostoaie and Bilan Irina, the session featured Ioana-Alexandra Maxim, HR Partner at GoDaddy, and Florin Sfabu, Team Manager at GoDaddy.

💡 Students explored how to build clarity and direction in their career path, how to set realistic objectives, and how to better understand the link between personal strengths, motivation, and professional opportunities. The discussion also highlighted the value of the Ikigai framework and a design thinking approach in shaping career choices through exploration, small projects, courses, and practical experiences.

🌱 The session further addressed the first professional experience, focusing on onboarding, the learning curve, the role of a mentor or buddy, and the importance of feedback and continuous growth.

🎤 A particularly valuable moment was the job interview simulation, which offered students practical insights into recruitment expectations and helped them gain confidence for future interviews.
