⚖️ The protection of social and economic rights is at the centre of today’s international conference “Romania and the Revised European Social Charter, on its 30th Anniversary”, organised by POLITEHNICA Bucharest through its Faculty of Economic Sciences and Law, at the Palace of the Parliament.
This morning’s sessions explored the Charter’s evolution and relationship with European Union law, alongside workers’ rights, gender equality and the effective protection of social rights in Romania.
This afternoon, discussions focus on the Charter’s application in Romanian courts, dignity and equality at work, the rights of children and people with disabilities, and the challenges of digitalisation for social protection.
