4 minutes. 9 researchers. 1 stage. 1 Grand Prix. 🏆

Today, Dan Boldea takes real voices to the international stage!

A PhD candidate in Theatre at the Faculty of Letters and Arts, Dan is representing Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu at the FORTHEM Researcher Grand Prix final in Opole, Poland. 🎭

His research explores verbatim theatre, where real people’s words, gathered through interviews, become performance. How can their stories spark empathy, intercultural dialogue and critical reflection? And what responsibility comes with telling someone else’s story?

His challenge: sharing that research in just four minutes.
Your part: tune in, cheer him on and cast your vote! 💙

🎭 What happens when real people’s words become theatre?

Meet Dan Boldea, our PhD candidate in Theatre at the Faculty of Letters and Arts, representing Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu at the FORTHEM Researcher Grand Prix 2026.

Dan’s research explores verbatim theatre, which brings words gathered through interviews onto the stage. He examines how this approach can encourage intercultural dialogue, empathy and critical reflection, alongside the ethical responsibility of telling other people’s stories.

His challenge: bringing this research to a wider audience in just four minutes.

We’re proud to support Dan as he shares his work on the FORTHEM stage. Good luck, Dan!
