Dr. Ana Plesa from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Institute of Space Research, Berlin, Germany, will deliver a lecture entitled:
Mars and Venus: Earth’s Siblings with Very Different Geological Histories
Short Biography
Dr. Ana Plesa is a Senior Research Scientist at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Institute of Space Research, and serves as Instrument Lead Scientist for the Venus Emissivity Mapper (VEM) aboard NASA’s VERITAS mission. Her research focuses on the thermal evolution of rocky planets and icy moons, combining geodynamic modeling with planetary mission data to better understand the evolution of planetary bodies. Dr. Plesa studied Computer Science (Diploma) at the University of Passau and earned a PhD in Geosciences from the University of Münster. Between 2019 and 2023, she led a Junior Research Group at the German Aerospace Center, Institute of Planetary Research.
