🗓 Registration for The Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project launched on September 1st! Open the door to Russian education and career opportunities!

Dreaming of a free education at HSE University – one of the top Russian universities? The Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project is your chance!

Who can participate?

Foreign citizens or stateless persons, including compatriots living abroad, who confirm the presence of a previous level of education or its completion in 2026, depending on the chosen track:
• Bachelor's degree - completed secondary education;
• Master's degree - a level of higher education no lower than a Bachelor's degree;
• Postgraduate studies (PhD) - a level of higher education no lower than a Master's or Specialist degree;
• For participation in the postdoctoral track, a PhD or Candidate/Doctor of Sciences degree is required.

Advantages of The Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project:

• Opportunity to enroll in free education at one of 24 leading Russian universities
• Free participation in all stages
• Completely online: participate from anywhere in the world
• The language of the Project is Russian or English (participant's choice)
• 14 interdisciplinary profiles: from promising engineering fields and innovative medicine to sought-after economics and modern linguistics.

Stages of The Open Doors Russian Scholarship Project:

1. First Stage:
• Portfolio Upload: Present your scientific papers, achievements, and motivation letter.
• Online Testing: Test your knowledge and skills.
2. Second Stage (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD tracks):
• Olympiad tasks in proctoring format.
3. Second Stage (Postdoctoral track):
• Video presentation of scientific achievements.
4. Third Stage (PhD and Postdoctoral tracks):
• Online interviews with potential supervisors (PhD) or research project managers (Postdoctoral).

Yesterday was Extra at HSE, and guys, it was totally mind-blowing! 🤯🎉 We started off with an awesome meeting where all the student clubs gathered to chat, network, and get hyped up for the night ahead 🤝💬 Then it was onto the concert in the cultural center — live music, great vibes 🎤🔥

But the real star of the show? The disco! 💃🕺 We hit the dance floor hard, with dancing battle, killer beats and lights flashing everywhere. We kept the party going in the HSE Atrium, chilling, dancing, and just having the best time until midnight 🕒✨ Surrounded by friends, laughter, and that unbeatable energy, it felt like the perfect way to end the day!

Hey HSE squad! 🌍📚 As a foreign student thriving in the heart of Moscow, I'm buzzing with pride after hearing about our crew rocking the Societas Linguistica Europaea conference in Bordeaux, France, this August – the biggest linguistics bash of the year!

Our talented PhD students and researchers from HSE dove right in, and guess what? Elena Shvedova's paper on "Lability drift in Modern Aramaic languages" absolutely slayed it! Hey HSE crew! 🌟 I couldn't resist sharing this awesome tale from Vadim Volozhenin, a second-year champ in our Joint Economics Program with NES. He's dishing on his unforgettable August escapade with HSE Yacht Club at the 47th Dubna Sailing Championship! 🛶⛵

Think about it: A newbie high schooler eyeing the Joint Program – hooked on fascinating lectures, top-notch profs, and that unbeatable community spirit. And let's not forget those killer exchange gigs: Italy, China, Mexico, Spain... who'd pass up a semester (or even a full year) in a foreign uni? 🇮🇹🇨🇳🇲🇽🇪🇸 But Vadim's found an extra layer of adventure! Picture the dead of night, wind pushing you forward, stargazing while navigating lights from passing ships, all with a squad of bold sailors. That's the vibe from his HSE Yacht Club trip! 🌌💨

The club's history is legendary – it kicked off in 1975 when MIEM's first rector, Evgeny Armenakiy, launched a yacht school that evolved into a full-blown student club. Post-MIEM-HSE merger, it became the go-to Yacht Club for the whole Vyshka. Their signature? Regular expeditions, like the iconic Moscow-St. Petersburg route, and that jaw-dropping 2005 voyage straight to Helsinki! 🚀🏝️

Hey everyone! 🌟 Just wanted to share some vibes from the orientation sessions for international students that happened on August 26 & 27 at the HSE Cultural Center. As a senior here, it’s awesome to see 1,260 new international students joining us this year – 644 bachelors and 616 masters! 🎓🌍

They got to tour the Pokrovka campus and even check out some cool Moscow landmarks – such a great way to get settled! 🏛️🗺️ The orientation, run by the Internationalisation team, really helps newcomers get familiar with the uni, Russian migration rules, and what student life at HSE is all about. 📚✨

Vice-Rector Victoria Panova gave an inspiring speech reminding everyone that getting here wasn’t easy – out of 12,000+ applicants, they made it! 🙌 She said this is just the beginning, and the hard work and exciting times are ahead. As someone who’s been through it, trust me, the journey is totally worth it! Let’s welcome the newbies and make this year unforgettable! 💙🚀

Hey everyone! 🚀✨ Just found out about this AMAZING event happening in Moscow from August 1 to September 14 – the "Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030" forum-festival! It's going to be a massive space for tech, science, and innovation, showcasing the coolest developments in medicine, space, and the digital economy! 🤖🌌

And guess what? Our very own HSE Art and Design School is representing with not one, but TWO mind-blowing grad projects from their Industrial Design program! 🎓💡

First up: "Ance" by Egor Ugrimov – a high-tech device that uses ultraviolet light to neutralize pathogens in donated blood! 🩸💉 The design is so sleek and minimalist, with smooth curves and smart ergonomics that make it perfect for modern medical spaces. So futuristic! 👨‍⚕️🔬

And then there's "Belka" (which means squirrel! 🐿️) – the first Russian autonomous flying robot designed to work in zero gravity ON the International Space Station! 🛰️🌠 This epic project was designed by Anastasia Kogteva and created with support from RKK Energia, MSU, and the MSU Mechanics Research Institute. How cool is that?! 🎉🤩

The white, blue, and red colors are flying everywhere today, and it’s so cool to learn more about the history and meaning behind your beautiful flag! 🤍💙❤️ From the stunning architecture to the warm-hearted people, there’s so much to love about this country.

Hey everyone! 🌟 Just wrapped up an amazing week at the International Summer School on "Digital Product Management," a cool project by the Graduate School of Business at HSE and Alfa-Bank! 🎓💼 We had over 30 students from top universities in China joining us! 🇨🇳🤝

Throughout the week, our guests dived into key trends in the digital economy, learned about product management tools, and even worked on real service solutions! 🚀 The academic track was packed with lectures from HSE professors about the Russian economy, Russian-Chinese business ties, digital transformation, and IT trends for 2025. Plus, they got insights from experts at Alfa-Bank, a leader in fintech and AI! 💡🤖

But it wasn't all lectures — students kicked things off with a two-day design sprint at Alfa-Bank’s research center, where they created digital services for Chinese users in Russia. They interviewed users, brainstormed ideas, prototyped, and tested our solutions! 🛠️💬 Then, back at the business school, refined the prototypes and worked on the financial aspects of our digital products.

At the end of the week, each team presented their projects to an expert panel! 🎉 Everyone received certificates from HSE and Alfa-Bank for completing the program.🌍✨
