This summer the IAAC Global Summer School , led by Maria Kuptsova, Elena Mitrofanova and Ivan Mitrofanov, in collaboration with Alexander Lysov and with the advisory of Vicente Guallart, investigated new computational and fabrication strategies for production of solutions for the activation of public space.
In collaboration with Shukhov Lab of HSE Graduate School of Urbanism, participants developed the project “Interlace 0” which investigates the capabilities of natural cotton fibers as a tensile material and as binding and compressing material.
