Congratulations to Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy scientists!

The Russian Science Foundation has summed up several competitions. Employees of the Research Institute of Experimental Oncology and Biomedical Technologies won two projects.
The project “Development of diagnostic technologies and predicting the effectiveness of cancer therapy based on fluorescence microscopy with time resolution” won the competition to support research involving leading scientists.

Leading scientists Dr. Wolfgang Becker (Becker & Hickl, Germany) - a global specialist in the field of optical imaging technology with time resolution, and Doctor of Biological Sciences, Konstantin Lukyanov (Skolkovo) - a well-known scientist in the field of fluorescent protein engineering.
The project “Investigation of the microviscosity of tumor cell membranes using molecular rotors and fluorescence time-resolved microscopy and its role in the response to antitumor therapy” led by M.V. Shirmanova won the competition to support individual research groups.

Both projects are designed for 3 years and relate to the development of new approaches to the diagnosis and monitoring of cancer therapy based on fluorescence bioimaging methods.
