In the period from January 18 to 22 NSU students and departurtment of Geology and Geophysics Suvorov Alexey and Mariya Agasheva participated in Education Week of International Petroleum Technology Conference, which was held in Doha, capital of Qatar ( OPEC member ) . Purpose of the conference - is to give students a clear understanding of the oil and gas industry , to work together on the technical projects in an international team , and provide opportunities for students to form new friendships and expand your professional connections . At the same time , students can interact with a number of major employers in the industry are constantly looking for the best talent to work from institutions around the world. Just participated in the conference of 110 students from 30 countries. Second day conference was held intellectual team game Energy Bee whose purpose , check the breadth and depth of knowledge in the oil and gas industry , as well as earth sciences and other related sciences. Where Maria Agasheva was member the team took 1st place, where Alexey Suvorov was team- leader group #6 took 3 place . All the winners received prizes from the titanium sponsor of Exxon Mobile. In addition to all the above students took part in recruitment sessions, where had the opportunity to talk with representatives of major companies and ask them your questions , as well as an excursion to the research center of Schlumberger. On the final day of the conference was held protection projects in English , which the guys prepared for 3 months.
