Remembering War Heroes of TulSU📜🫡

Today, we honour and pay tribute to the courageous Nikolai Leonidovich Lavrov, who worked at the Tula Mechanical Institute (now Tula State University) and joined the 344th Rifle Division in 1941 to hold back the enemy from reaching the southern outskirts of the capital. He later died during the battle in 1942.

His name lives on in Tula, engraved on the memorial stele, and remembered by generations of students and staff.

From celebrating 15 graduation ceremonies to witnessing the first graduates of the Tula Engineering School "Intelligent Defense Systems" receive their prestigious Red Diplomas at the 14th International Youth Industrial Forum "Engineers of the Future," July was truly a memorable month!

The excitement continued as the admissions campaign officially began, bringing future students one step closer to their dreams. The Rector also connected with university families during a warm gathering at the cozy "Kafedra" Café, strengthening the TulSU community.

Paying tribute to a war hero. 🕊️🎖️

At just 22, Sergey Andreevich Kirpichev left his engineering studies at the Tula Mechanical Institute (now Tula State University) to serve his country.

From serving in a unit of the Moscow Military District to becoming Deputy Commander of a Company in the 224th Separate Army Engineering Battalion of the 1st Shock Army, his journey was marked by courage, duty, and unwavering dedication.

Today, we remember his bravery and honour the sacrifice he made for his country.
