You can expect intriguing tasks about different countries and cultures. Your team will have to show good, effective teamwork and cooperation and be ready and able to solve various puzzles.

All participants will have lots of fun and cool pictures to show for it! The winners will get tickets to the Drama Theatre performance of their choice!

Learn the legal, business, and technological foundations of the Russian energy industry! Tyumen State University is happy to announce the expansion of the "STEP in Russian Energy" (Society, Technology, Environment, Policy) Programme allowing additional Russian and international students currently studying in Tyumen to participate. The Programme is taught in English and can be interesting for students majoring in public policy, business, energy studies, international relations, law, and more.

The English language requirement is B2. There is no tuition fee this year! The programme starts on April 15th and concludes on July 1st (the schedule of classes can be found in the application form). Institute of Earth Sciences

Firstly it was a part of the Tyumen Agricultural and Teachers’ Training Institute. While the study of Earth Sciences has existed in many forms throughout the years, it was not until 1975 that the Institute of Earth Sciences emerged as we know it today. Nowadays the builiding of the campus is being reconstructed

The Institute of Earth Sciences is proud to show its theoretical and technical capabilities through its modern laboratories dedicated to soil science, cartography, photogrammetry, radiation ecology, remote sensing, and geology while simultaneously providing its students with access to its language laboratories and technological centers.

The Institute is a leader in regional several scientific fields, particularly those aimed at elaborating the theory and practice of sustainable, ecologically balanced, and socio-economic development of the Tyumen Region. Our scientists engage in a variety of scientific issues, including: landscape mapping; the study of diverse soils and their geochemical features; vegetation; the study of lakes; ponds and reservoir resources; the ecological conditions of small rivers and lakes; snowpack and its impact on economic activity; the air pollution; exogenous geodynamics; and the evolution of lake wetland ecosystems in the Holocene and paleoecology.

The graduates of the Institute make major contributions to the development of geographical and environmental education in the Tyumen region. They work in various research and design institutes as well as government authorities.

The Institute of Mathematics and Computer Sciences

It was founded on the 6th of December, 2005 within the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

Today, the Institute is an independent entity affiliated with Tyumen State University. The Institute is developing in accordance with modern trends with scientific schools constantly evolving, and testing sites emerging. The institute’s focus area includes various aspects of computer science, including software engineering, graphics, multimedia technologies, information systems and networks, databases, and other subjects within the mathematics sphere.

EVENT IN THE UNIVERSITY!

The Center of the international formation is organizing a movie club and a discussion of the vigorous youth comedy "Spanish Hotel" (L' auberge espagnole)
We invite everyone who want to get acquainted closer with life of the students participating in programs of student's exchange.

The movie is about an economics graduate student studying for a year in Barcelona, Spain, as part of the Erasmus programme, where he encounters and learns from a group of students who hail from all over Western Europe. It is the first part of the self-titled "Spanish Apartment Trilogy" of films centered on the character of Xavier and his progression from student to family man and friends he initially encounters in a student share-house in Spain.

The film's portrayal is in the first-person perspective of the main character, Xavier, and is hence mainly narrated in French. Some of the dialogue is in English and a significant amount is in Spanish, as well as small amounts in Catalan, Danish, German and Italian.
