القبول والتسجيل

التقديم للدراسة

تقبل طلبات التقديم للتسجيل للدرجات بالبحث على مدار العام.تعلن مواعيد التقديم والتسجيل للدرجات العلمية المختلفة في أجهزة الإعلام.يتم الحصول على استمارة التقديم من رئاسة الأكاديمية أو من منسق البرامج بعد دفع الرسوم المقررة.على المتقدم مراجعة اللوائح الخاصة بالأكاديمية والبرامج التي يرغب في دراستها.تملا الاستمارة من نسختين مطبوعة (أو بالخط الواضح).ترفق صورتين في حجم جواز السفر مع الاستمارة.ترفق الشهادات العلمية الأصلية وصورة واحدة من كل الدرجات السابقة المؤهلة التي يتم الحصول عليها وسوف ترجع الشهادات الأصلية بعد فحصها بواسطة المسجل.على المتقدمين للدراسات العليا تقديم اسمين لشخصين كمرجع وللتذكية لاستقاء المعلومات الخاصة بعملهم وخبرتهم أو كليهما.يجوز للمسجل أن يطلب من العاملين في القطاع العام أو الخاص تقديم شهادة تفرغ كلي أو جزئي حسب متطلبات الدراسة وفق البرنامج المعلن.بعد ملء واكتمال استمارة التقديم تسلم ومعها الوثائق المطلوبة لمسجل البرنامج المختص لمراجعتها.ترسل استمارات التقديم لمنسقي البرامج ليتم تحويلها لمديري البرامج الفرعية التابعة لهم لدراستها والتوصية بشأنها.ترفع التوصية لمجلس منسق البرنامج: - القبول بدون امتحان تأهيل. - القبول بامتحان تأهيل. - القبول شريطة دراسة مقررات تكميلية مع أكاديمية معينة أو غيره والنجاح فيها. - القبول مع دراسة مطلوبات البرامج. - الرفض.ترسل توصية مجلس التنسيق للجنة القبول والتسجيل للتوصية باجازتها من مجلس الأساتذة في أول اجتماع له.

الترشيح للقبول

يقبل المتقدمون لدرجتي الماجستير بالبحث والدكتوراه بموجب خطاب منسق الدراسات العليا بناءاً على توصية مجلس بحوث البرامج المعنية أو أي لجان أخري خاصة بالدراسات العليا وإجازة خطة البحث وتعيين المشرف الرئيس وتوقيع رئيس مجلس بحوث البرنامج المختص.تعلن أسماء الطلاب المرشحين للقبول في لوحة إعلانات الأكاديمية ومجالس تنسيق البرامج بعد التوصية باجازتها من لجنة القبول والتسجيل التابعة لمجلس الأساتذة.

إجراءات التسجيل

يسجل الطلاب للقبول بالبرنامج المعني بمجلس التنسيق بعد دفع المصروفات الدراسية المقررة.تعاد صورة من الاستمارة بعد ملئها للبرنامج المعنى.يتم تسجيل المرشحين للقبول كطلاب متفرغين كلياً أو لبعض الوقت، ويمكن تسجيل طلاب غير متفرغين في حالات خاصة.يجب على كل الطلاب التأكد من الحصول على بطاقات التسجيل من مسجل البرنامج أو الأكاديمية وإبرازها عند الطلب.تمنح البطاقة للطلاب الذين قاموا بدفع المصروفات الدراسية كاملة.على الطلاب تجديد بطاقات التسجيل بعد مرور عام من تسجيله للبرنامج المعنى وله الحق في إلغاء تسجيل الطالب بعد توصية مجلس بحوث مجلس التنسيق المعني إذا لم يتمكن الطالب من بدء دراسته المقررة بالبحث بعد ثلاثة أشهر من تاريخ التسجيل.

Federal Union Members

The Following are research corporations and centers members of the federal system of the Academy.

Membership of the Academy Federal Organization is Optional, based on signing of a contract document, spelling out the role and commitments of signatures in the training Of Postgraduate candidates in accordance with The Academy’s Procedures and regulations. Corporations and centres, affiliated to The Academy Federal System, are organized in Specialized Councils, whith form the, authorized representatives, in contact with Academy Administration.

Preparation Thesis
Technical Prescriptions for Thesis Writing

First: General Directives:
The thesis (or dissertation) is to be typed on ordinary white paper of 80 gm weight; (unglazed paper) of A4 size.
Writing should be on one side of the paper.
Ornamentations, colours or frames are not allowed on the thesis pages.
Acknowledgement section should not exceed one page.
Second: Presentations of Printing lines and sizes:
The thesis text is to be typed in font size 12 for the English letters (Times New Roman). Latin names are to be printed in italics.
Font size 14 is to be used for Arabic letters (simplified Arabic), font size 12 for footnotes, size 15 (black wide) for small subtitles, size 16 (black wide) for larger subtitles, and size 18 (black wide) for chapter titles.
The printed part of each page leaves 2.5 cm at the top of the page, 2.5 cm at the bottom of the page, 3.5 cm from the bound side and 2.5 cm from the free side, as margins.
Tables, maps, photographs and figures are numbered according to the order of their appearance in the thesis.
Font size 12 is adopted for the leftover lines (empty spaces) between paragraphs. Spaces between lines in the thesis text measures a line and a half.
Third: Prescriptions of the outer cover:
The colour of the outer cover of the diploma dissertation is brown, M.Sc. thesis is blue and Ph.D. thesis is red.
Writing on the cover is in golden glaze.
The name of Sudan Academy of Sciences is to be printed at the top of the cover page, of font size 16.
The title of the thesis is written in the middle of the cover page, of font size not to exceed 22.
The name of the student is printed at the bottom of the cover page, of font size not exceeding 16.
The back cover of the thesis cover is left blank, without any writing.
The degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.), the name of the student and graduation year are printed on the side margin of the thesis cover, with font size not to exceed 15 (black wide).
Forth: First internal page:
"In the name of God most gracious most merciful”, is printed on the top of the page with font size 12.
The name of SAS is printed below the above, and with font size 14. The name of the concerned Program Council with font size 15, comes under the name of SAS.
A space of three lines minimum is left blank, and under it the title of thesis is printed with font size 24.
A space of three lines, maximum, is left and under it, the name of the student is printed with font size 16.
A space of three lines is left blank, and under it, the provisions of thesis submission and specialization information, are printed with maximum font size 16.
A space of there line is left blank and under it the name of the supervisor is printed, with font size 14.
A space of one line is left blank, and under it the name of co-supervisor (or supervision board) if found, is printed, with font size 14.
The date is printed, with font size 14, at the bottom of the first page of the thesis.
Fifth:
Number and title of each table are printed at the top of the table.
Number and title of each figure or photograph are printed below the figure or photograph. Coloured photographs are to be in colour in all copies of the thesis submitted to the Academic Affairs Secretariat.

List of Scientific Degrees

Higher Diploma in Sciences:
Holding a B.Sc. degree of a recognized institute of higher education.
MSc degree:
Holding a B.Sc. degree of a recognized institute of higher education (or a higher diploma).
Ph. D degree :
Holding a M.Sc. of SAS or its equivalent, in accordance with the relevant Council recommendation.
The applicant is obliged to prove enough capabilities and suitable training, in order to be able to carry out the assigned research work and study courses.

Study and Research Regulations:
The student has to follow up an approved research project extending to a period not less than:
33 months ( ) in case of PhD degree (or 36 month for part- time students
18 months in case of the MSc degree (or 24 months for part- time students).
48 months( ) is the maximum period of time allowed for completion of PhD research work in case of full time students (or 60 month for part- time students).30 months is the maximum period allowed for full time MSc students(or 42 months for part time MSc students).
In certain special cases,( ) the program Council can present a recommendation to the Academic Affairs Committee for the extension of the prescribed periods of time.
In all cases, the student has to send the required extension form through his chief supervisor and the concerned program Research Council, within a period not less than three months, before the end of his approved registration period of time.
Students have to carry out studies in a continuous manner, except when a recommendation for a break is received from the concerned program Council and the approval of the Academic Committee.
A registered student has to be ready for continuation of his/ her assigned research work in S.A.S during the prescribed period of time, or the periods stipulated by the principle supervisor.
The registered student has to give his permanent address, where he/she can be contacted, to the program Registrar. Any change in this permanent address has to be reported to the Coordination Council Registrar and S.A.S Registrar.
A student who has to absent himself from S.A.S, in an outside engagement, which is part of his/her approved program has to apply for approval of the principle supervisor, the concerted program Coordination Council and the Academic Committee or any other relevant postgraduate committee. By all means the period of absence should not exceed nine months, during which the student has to be in contact with the principle supervisor.
The supervisor can present a recommendation to the special program Council to rescind the registration of the student, whose performance is below the acceptable standard.

Some Achievments of Graduate Res.

Some Research Achievements of graduates, and Relevance to Promotion of Technology:

The Viruses PPR, PB, RSV, BHV-1, BVDV, Aden have been discovered in camel limps for the first true in the Sudan. The immune System to these viruses has been clarified.
The Viruses PPR has been confirmed as the main agent causing camel ling infixions.
The “Bagara” bulls can be effectively fattened by adding urea to their fodder, being a cheap nitrogen source.
Bird influenza virus HSNI was isolated for the first true in the Sudan, from chicken, as a result of country-wide studies.
Study of Plant cover in southern cordovan concluded that-the bush and grass cover need protection and repartition of trees. The area requires spraying of soil nutrients.
New varieties of sorghum, resistant to drought were produced.
Management procedures for control of mesquite trees were suggested.
Research has shown that speeding of wheat grown in litigated schemes of clay soil can be reduced from 72kg/hect. To 50 kg/hect.
P**a, the parasite of sorghum, can be controlled by in maculation with soil bacteria.
Secretion of cytokine (1l-10) might be the source of protection of sickle-cells anemic persons from malaria.
It was shown that non-wood celluloses fibers such as ken of a seisal are more suitable for paper production, than wood.
Developed chromatographic methods proved efficient in testing for Bromides in water and bread.
Addition of “Humus” flour to wheat flour improves the equably of bread and adds important nutrient ingredients.
A unit for increasing production of propylene from liquid oil gas was designed, production wheal was 74.101. Jumped to 99.90%.
