TED is a non-profit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed independently, but all of them have features in common.
With great ardor and privilege, we present the opportunity to invigorate minds with awe-inspiring talks and explore the limitless ideas presented at the TEDx platform. With this goal, we present to you the first 2018 edition of TEDxIUA.
TEDx IUA under the theme "Unity in diversity" presents a unique experience in mind expansion and life changing ideas. Speakers are welcomed from different fields of life with a burning passion to share incredible ideas. Speakers are expected to have gone through the TED official website and watched numerous TED talks to enhance their presentation.

Our theme this year is ; “Unity in diversity” it’s is a concept of "unity without uniformity and diversity without fragmentation" that shifts focus from unity based on a mere tolerance of physical, cultural, linguistic, social, religious, political, ideological and/or psychological differences towards a more complex unity based on an understanding that difference enriches human interactions.
It has applications in many fields, including ecology,cosmology, philosophy,religion and politics.
The current state globally is conflicted with diversity , rather than embracing it and exploring the good in it.
Be the voice that makes a difference , it’s more than a hashtag. let’s make change and embrace the good in diversity.
