طرأت فكرة إنشاء كلية طب خاصة بمدينة ود مدني في العام 2008م ولكن لم تتحقق الا في العام 2012م حيث تم تصميم برنامجين ، برنامج الطب والجراحة وبرنامج التمريض .
الهدف الاساي هو تخريج طبيب قادر على أداء دور فاعل في تطوير النظام الصحي الولائي والاتحادي لتحقيق العدالة الصحية
the notion of establishing private medical school in wad medical started in 2008 but it became a reality in 2012 with two programs :

medicine & nursing the prime objective is to graduate a nurse who would take active role in the development of health system locally and nationally and to achieve the goal equity for health.
