What a Friday! 💛🎓

Today was Introduction Day for our new students – around 3,200 students are starting their studies with us now.

The day began with welcome ceremonies featuring, among other things, uplifting music, inspiring words from our Vice-Chancellor and information from Gefle Student Union. 🎵🎤

We also organised a welcome fair where students had the opportunity to meet both our support services and external organisations – all to give them the best possible start to student life.

Best of luck with your studies – we’re so happy to have you here! 💛

🤖🌱 How do we inspire the next generation to explore technology, science and AI?

That was one of the key questions in focus when the University of Gävle, together with several partners, hosted a STEM and AI Day on campus.

The event brought together representatives from education, research, industry, the public sector and civil society to discuss how we can work together to strengthen Sweden’s future competence in technology and artificial intelligence.

Visitors also had the opportunity to explore several exciting initiatives and environments, including the AI Perspectives Room, the Twin Transition Lab and an AI-based learning platform for children and young people.

We are proud to contribute to creating a continuous pathway from early education to higher education and working life – and, together with our partners, inspire more young people to discover the opportunities within STEM and AI.

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day such a success! 🌟
