Gothenburg Research Infrastructure in Digital Humanities - GRIDH

Gothenburg Research Infrastructure in Digital Humanities - GRIDH An infrastructure that focuses on AI, archives, and novel ways of documenting and publishing.

Digital humanities at the University of Gothenburg have a wide breadth that include the development and application of digital methods and tools as well as developing critical analysis on social, cultural, epistemological and theoretical perspectives on digitalization. The Centre for Digital Humanities was established in 2015 and promotes research, education and collaboration on digital phenomena

and digital methods. The starting point is multidisciplinary and the work focuses on the opportunities of the humanities to problematize approaches to new digital technologies and its importance in research and social life. Central to this is that the digital humanities not only include technology, development and application of digital methods and tools, but also critical perspectives and innovative ways of thinking about the whole humanistic conversation on the digital and its relationship to our past, present and future society. Our mission is to strengthen, renew and enrich humanistic research and teaching by digital materials, tools and methods, and through foster new and re-examining existing perspectives and theories brought about in dialogue with our contemporary digital culture.
