🎉 Celebrating 10 years of partnership in person-centred care!
For a decade, our Person Council for Patients and Carers/Relatives has demonstrated the transformative value of bringing lived experience into healthcare research and development.
Since its establishment in 2016, 37 individuals have contributed their invaluable perspectives, helping shape our research priorities, strengthen our projects, and advance person-centred care.
What began as an advisory forum has evolved into a partnership where patients and carers are not simply consulted, but actively involved as co-creators and co-researchers.
Recognised by international evaluators as “a unique model for other research centres, locally, nationally and internationally”, our Person Council reminds us of a fundamental principle: meaningful progress in healthcare is achieved not only for people, but with people.
👏 A heartfelt thank you to all current and former Council members for ten years of dedication, insight, courage and commitment. Your contributions have made a difference, and continue to inspire.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also look ahead: towards stronger partnerships, greater influence and more tangible impact from lived experience.
