Nu är hemsidan för det nya Magisterprogrammet i EU-förvaltning synligt på Göteborgs universitets webb - och programmet är sökbart via www.antagning.se. Deadline 15 oktober via antagning.se.

Programmet är en del av regeringens särskilda satsning för att få fler svenskar att arbeta inom EU:s institutioner, och kommer att vara möjligt att söka för alla som har en kandidatexamen, oavsett ämne.

🔜 Ny utbildning för dig som vill arbeta i EU:s institutioner!

EU-förvaltningen behöver medarbetare med många olika kompetenser – från översättare och ingenjörer till specialister inom folkhälsa, miljö och civilförsvar. För att fler ska kunna arbeta i EU:s institutioner satsar regeringen nu på att utbilda svenskar i EU-kunskap.

Magisterprogrammet i EU-förvaltning vid Göteborgs universitet är en del av den satsningen. Programmet riktar sig till dig som har en kandidatexamen, oavsett ämnesområde, och som är intresserad av Europafrågor. Det passar också dig som har några års arbetslivserfarenhet och vill ta nästa steg mot en internationell karriär.

Under utbildningen varvas campusförlagda studier med obligatoriska inslag som studieresor, gästföreläsningar och veckomöten. Du kommer också att få genomföra tester inför EU:s uttagningsprov.

Programmet startar i januari 2027. Ansökan öppnar i september 2026.

🎉We have great news!🎉 The Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairshas decided to award University of Gothenburg funding to start a new master in public administration focusing on the EU.

🎓University of Gothenburg is especially well suited to offer this new program, thanks to the well-established cross-disciplinary adademic environment in European studies, both education (CES) and research (CERGU), in combination with the strength of the Department of Political Science, where the program will be hosted.

🎓The new one-year intensive program will target students with varying educational backgrounds, e.g. engineers, translators and specialists in environment, security, public health and much more, in order to help reach the government ambition of increasing the numer of swedes working in the EU institutions.

Interesting reflections about Sweden in the EU in 30 years by two students of the European Studies Programmes: Victor Bergesen (Master) and Isak Johansson (Bachelor).

This final session of the CERGU European Research Day also includes comments and reflections by former EU Commissioner, and Assar Gabrielsson guest professor, Cecilia Malmström, moderated by CERGU co-director Hjalmar Falk.

The Rutger Lindahl Award for Best Master Thesis in European Studies is presented annually to a student whose thesis has been examined within the Master's Programme for European Studies at the University of Gothenburg. The award was established in 2011 and is named after the Jean Monet Professor (and founding father of CERGU) Rutger Lindahl in honor of his lifelong dedication to teaching and research on European integration.

Last month at the graduation and thesis awards ceremony for European Studies Programmes, Safia Dindić received this year's prize for her thesis "The Antagonistic Allure: A Quantitative Study of Women’s Support for Right-Wing Populist Parties in Europe."

The annual award winner receives a prize of 10,000 Swedish kronor and the honor of having their thesis published in the CERGU Working Paper Series.
