This summer I have had an amazing experience working at Monocl, 🤗 one of the most rapid-growing companies located in Gothenburg. As a customer success intern at Monocl, not only DID I HAVE a chance to work with the cloud-based stakeholders platform developed for pharmaceutical and scientific instrument companies, but also to learn more about the industry and gather more inspiration for the upcoming Master's thesis. 😎🤩❤️💭

Tomorrow, our students will take part in Difference inc. 💭🤗 It will take place in the business center Innovation & Business Centre in Biskopsgården, where they get the opportunity to work with real entrepreneurs and use the skills and competencies they have acquired through the education for the benefit of entrepreneurs working in relation to social challenges, such as integration, equality and sustainability. 😍🤩🎉 It will be a very exciting full day of workshops, so stay tuned for the updates on our Instagram story tomorrow throughout the day.😉

In Healthcare Inc our students innovate together with the healthcare system 🗯💡🚑🏥🧡 It all starts with challenges provided from different departments at the hospital and other healthcare units and for 7 weeks the students use creative design thinking methodology to generate new innovative solutions. Today the students are presenting their ideas and prototypes- check out stories for updates 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I spend my summer internship in London 🇬🇧 working with the IP startup Aistemos who deliver the software Cipher. 🤩 During my three months, I worked in the Solutions team to deliver strategic patent intelligence insights for technology areas for clients. It was a fantastic experience which allowed me to see the world of innovation and patent strategy within many different industry and actors. 💭 My education at Sahlgrenska prepared me by giving me the language and tools to jump into the projects as well as the broad perspectives to understand all the sides of the business. For me, one of the best aspects of the education is the practical component and the exposure the industry and real-life projects.😍🤩💭

Hi!
My name is Ellenor Hayes and I am currently enrolled in the Intellectual Capital Management (ICM) track. This week I am going to tell you about my summer spent at Spotify—a Swedish “unicorn” and the world’s top audio streaming platform.

The ICM track is about developing tools and understanding frameworks to evaluate technology assets and design intellectual property (IP) based business strategies in various contexts. As a music lover and podcast addict, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to apply the new skills and insights I had developed over the first year of my Masters’ at Spotify.

Over the three-month project, I explored how Spotify’s R&D teams can work with the IP team to more proactively identify, claim and protect Spotify’s intellectual assets. The relevance and impact of my work (not to mention the incredible rooftop terrace at Spotify HQ in Stockholm) meant that I couldn’t have wished for a better way to have spent my summer!

Healthcare inc. students have been on an airplane journey today ✈️ 😳. During a very hands on prototyping workshop, they have converted the classroom into an airplane, talked about their worst experiences in an airplane and consequently, they came up with prototypes attempting to come up with innovative solutions. 💭😬🤩 Healthcare inc. is definitely full of action and creative props 👏🎉🖍✂️

Through SSIE’s Internship program Henrik got to spend this summer in Belgium working for the company Tessenderlo group 🌟

“I got to work at a small IP department where I took part in strategic discussions as well as presented my final findings to the chairman of the board. This internship made me even more interested in IP and it made me realise what my background as a business student could have for impact on an IP department full of lawyers and engineers.”💼👏🏼

This summer I worked at the Intellectual Property department of Volvo Group in Gothenburg as part of the internship program between my first and second year. 🤩 I used different tools to visualise intellectual property connected to technologies and inventions which help to keep Volvo Group at the forefront. 😊 For me, it was amazing to see all the things I have learned during the year actually being implemented in a real company. That just proves how practical and very useful this education has been so far 🤓☀️ 💭

Team 4 has visited the VGR emergency ambulance helicopter crew at Säve this morning 🚁🌟 This team is applying the design thinking process to the very successful HEMS-K project 🗯💡
