Welcoming two new PhD students to our department: Dharmateja Chalasani and Abdullah Harazeen.
Dharmateja got his Masters degree in our department. His PhD study aims to include recycled aluminum alloys in producing metal matrix composites, and study how the detrimental effects of impurities like Iron(Fe) can be alleviated in specific industrially produced components. This is a part of the MaReAl project, supported by Vinnova (under the Metalliska material program).

Abdullah got his Masters degree at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His PhD study aims to create the conditions for a climate-neutral, circular, and resource-efficient production of aluminum by separating pollutant elements for both primary and secondary aluminum. This is a part of the KliRAl project, supported by Vinnova (under the Metalliska material program).
