As part of our seminar series at the Sten K. Johnson Centre for Entrepreneurship, we held a seminar on the External Enablers of Entrepreneurship. The External Enabler (EE) framework is a conceptual toolbox for analyzing how business-environmental changes in technology, regulations, socio-economic trends, etc., can be leveraged in business development processes. Professor Per Davidsson, who is the brain behind the framework, presented the EE along with the stream of research building on it, and opportunities for future research, to a global scholarly audience who joined us physically at the Centre and over Zoom. Learn more about the EE framework on the website: https://www.externalenablement.org/

Updates from Dragons at the University 2024 Semi-Finals!

Last week, the eight remarkable semi-finalists competed for a coveted spot in the final across two intense sessions.

Our esteemed panel of judges, comprised of local business angels, evaluated the semi-finalists based on the innovativeness of their ideas, feasibility, and the quality of their pitches, among other criteria.

🌟 We're thrilled to announce the five teams advancing to the final: Stride, Stay Charged, Albatrac, Solstice, and Rainbow Ray. 🌟

Let's shine a spotlight on our finalists:

Stride transforms the sport of running by introducing a modular running shoe that's not only eco-friendly but also cost-effective. Their innovative shoe technology alerts runners on the optimal time to replace their shoes, preventing long-term injuries and enhancing the running experience. 🌿🏃

StayCharged drives the future of mobility into a more sustainable horizon. By integrating private e-charging stations into Germany's infrastructure, StayCharged is paving the way for an increase in necessary e-charging opportunities. 🚗⚡

Solstice introduces an innovative energy storage system that marries solar heat with a sand battery. This revolutionary energy transfer device, designed and developed by a talented team, promises to transform industrial steam usage by leveraging renewable solar energy for an efficient and cost-effective solution. ☀️🔋

RainbowRays makes sun safety an enjoyable experience for children. With their creative, all-natural, and colorful sunscreen, RainbowRays is setting a playful yet protective trend in sun care. 🌈☀️

Albatrac is on a mission to redefine the future of golf. Eliminating the manual data entry hassle, Albatrac provides real-time performance analysis through data-driven insights, empowering players and coaches to elevate their game with every shot. 🏌️‍♂️💡

As we gear up for the final showdown, let's rally behind our finalists and cheer them on as they prepare to face the dragon jury! 🐉👏

📅 Mark your calendars! The Dragons at the University 2024 Final will take place on March 21st from 14:00 – 16:30 in EC1: Crafoordsalen.
